Data downloaded from the speed indicator devices today from the last 4 weeks shows that average speeds have dropped 1mph on the Steventon Road, we know this doesn't sound a lot but it is a step forward with 4% more drivers complying with the speed limit (that's around 2,200 more drivers than two months ago. Before the 20 limit on the A338, the roadside check team used to report around 40 drivers per hour for driving 35mph+, in a comparable (same time of day and same traffic flow) session since the 20 limit we reported just 4 for driving 35mph+.
