The Year 2 children have ended their time in Key Stage 1 on a high! On Monday, we proudly hosted our first Character and Citizenship Awards, celebrating the achievements of those who successfully gained their Bronze Awards. The children then delighted families and staff by sharing a range of performances and special memories from their time in Year 2.

To round off this wonderful celebration, we enjoyed a ‘Share a Story’ session in the sunshine, reflecting our love of reading and providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy books together. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the children’s achievements, friendships and learning journey as they prepare for the next exciting chapter of their education🙌

A HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered and supported our summer fete this year - we hope you all enjoyed the event and the bar 🍹as much as we did. The heat ☀️ did not defeat us and everything ran smoothly - in the end!

We are able to share that we received full sponsorship to cover the cost of the event this year, which means every penny raised on the day will be invested into the school to support and enrich our children's learning experience. With that in mind, we are so pleased to confirm that we raised an ENORMOUS ⭐£2,528⭐

This was a real team effort and we would like to say a huge thank you to our amazing Friends of St John's committee who worked tirelessly to make this event a success❤️

In the current heatwave🥵 our Reception children kept their cool today by turning their classroom into their very own spa😌 The children used their phonics knowledge to write their own invitation and treatment list before enjoying a lavender, rosemary, orange and lemon foot soak🍊🌿; cooling cucumbers on their eyes, and a refreshingly cold drink😋
