Yesterday was the Childrey Village Christmas Tree Festival. Here is our tree for this year. The LD enjoyed using beads and pipe cleaners to make snowflakes.

Meet Cupcake the Childrey Little Duck Elf. She has come to stay for the next few weeks. Today the Little Ducks were super excited to see that Cupcake had landed in another part of the room and had brought them a special 'North Pole' Playdough with her to share with them. The Little Ducks thought this was very magical

It was lovely to see them regularly checking in on Cupcake and they are excited to see what she will get up to tomorrow!

Empty Hands Defence are amazing and they train all the staff at Little Ducks. We are also looking into them coming into the setting to show the LD some first aid.

🐥Little Ducks News 🐥

WOW where did this week go 😬 It feels like it flew by!!
We have had lots of fun. Check out what we have been getting up to………..

💫We had lots of fun in Outdoor Explorers, where we made dinosaur fossils with modelling clay. We also enjoyed reading books in the dens and climbing trees 🌲 🦕

💫 Baking Club with Emily has been lots of fun as usual and this week the Little Ducks enjoyed making something savoury. The Little Ducks made bread in the shape of a snake to celebrate international snake day. Great job everyone, they are snake-abulous 🐍

💫 We have been learning about under the sea and all of the different animals and wonderful things that are seen in the sea with our amazing sea set ups. 🐬🐡

💫 Some of the Little Ducks got very creative with paints and made beautiful art work to share with their families. We have some budding artists in the making 🎨🖌️

🐥Little Ducks News 🐥

We haven’t done our Little Ducks News for a couple of weeks (sorry crazy few weeks) so we have a lot to catch up on 🤣

Last week (w/c 24th June)
💫We enjoyed our outdoor explorers day, this week everyone enjoyed making potions and drinks in the mud kitchen with the water and mud. They also did lots of digging and mud play to celebrate International Mud Day (29th June).
💫 Baking Club with Emily has been lots of fun as usual and this week they enjoyed making more sushi again they talked about all the different ingredients they were using and rolled their sushi independently. Great job everyone! 🍱
💫 We had some beautiful weather so what better way to cool down than a splash in our new paddling pool. It’s safe to say everyone had lots of fun and got very wet including some grown-ups 🤣💦

This week (w/c 1st July)
How are we in July already!! We have had another great week and have enjoyed………

💫Painting in the outdoor explorers' base, they painted different objects of nature including themselves 🙈🤣
💫 Baking this week was some yummy Rocky Road. It was very yummy 😋 All the groups have loved making this and I’m sure the last group on Monday will have lots of fun too
💫 The Little Ducks had another great sports session and enjoyed an extra special treat of a bouncy castle. As you can see everyone had lots of fun! What a lovely few weeks we have had.❤️
I wonder what we will get up to next, over our last two full weeks of the school term?!
