Seven years of “Where’s your jumper?!”
Eye rolls at dry-wipe pen on your brand new shirt,
And, of course, somehow finding space
For 9,000 priceless pieces of artwork.

Seven years of first days and last days,
Of sick days, snow days, and Christmas plays,
Teary goodbyes and joyful hellos,
Grazed knees, growth spurts,
Wobbly teeth and birthday treats.

We’ve been there; every single step,
Cheering from the wings
And watching you all,
As you grew in laughter, wonder, and so much courage

We’ve done Sports Day lollies,
Elfridges and discos,
Hot chocolates, bake sales, raffles and toys,
Crafts, summer fairs, and fireworks displays,
Easter egg hunts, and more non-uniform days
Than we could ever count!

What a ride it’s been —
And what an honour,
To watch each one of you shine,
Utterly brilliant,
And bursting with magic ✨

A brand new adventure now begins,
And we send with you every good wish
For a future full of joy,
Laughter, friendship — and maybe
A slightly cleaner shirt.

And no, we’re not crying… you are.

❄️☀️ Help keep our classrooms cool while our children keep their brains busy! ❄️☀️

In addition to our long-term fundraising efforts to improve sun safety in our playground, we’re also raising funds to install air conditioning in more areas of Burhill Primary School.

These projects are an investment in the wellbeing of our students and staff—creating safer, cooler, and more comfortable spaces to learn, play, and thrive.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to achieving these goals. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post is another wonderful way to support our school community.

Thanks to the incredible support of our wonderful sponsors, our fabulous raffle, and every single one of you who came along, played, donated, volunteered, and cheered us on at the Summer Fair, we’ve raised just over £4,500! 🎉💙

We honestly couldn’t have done it without our amazing school community. Every penny raised will go towards supporting the children and making Burhill School an even better place.

Let’s celebrate the last Friday of the school year with a FoBS Non-Uniform Day! 🎉

✨ Just wear what makes you feel comfortable and be your own kind of sunshine! ☀️

With the hot weather set to continue next week, we’re hoping a non-uniform day will help everyone stay a little cooler and more comfortable!

Children are invited to come to school in their own clothes on Thursday 25th June, and we kindly ask for a £1 donation.

For anyone who missed out at the fair, we’ll be running a little Pop-Up Tuck & Pocket Money Shop on Friday from 3:15pm–4:00pm in the Main Playground.

We’ll have a selection of sweet treats, snacks, and little pocket-money treasures available to buy. 💕✨
