Before the school routine begins again, there’s still time for a few more days of freedom, adventure and hanging out with friends.

🌞This summer, we’ve loved seeing children and young people unplug from screens and get completely absorbed in imaginative play and hands-on activities. From tie-dyeing and upcycling, woodworking and crafting, to conservation work in our woodland, building a sensory path and cooking delicious food over the fire.

🌳 Next week is our final week of Unplugged Summer Holiday Clubs and the last chance to join us under the Tree Canopy before the school routine begins again.

To find out more and book, check the link in bio. And while you’re there, take a look at our Autumn Term offerings. We have an exciting programme of outdoor adventures and activities for children and young people aged 8–14.

Growing up today can feel like a lot, especially for young girls. With the constant presence of the digital world and the pressure to fit in, life can sometimes feel overwhelming.

For the past three years, we’ve been creating a nurturing space for girls aged 8–14 to step away from screens and everyday pressures.Through time in nature, seasonal activities, creativity and a supportive community, girls find the space to slow down, express themselves and simply be. Under the trees, they can challenge themselves, build resilience, and develop genuine friendships.

The Unplugged Club is a place for them to discover what feels good, what matters to them, and who they are becoming.

🍂 On Tuesday, 15th September, we return to the Tree Canopy in Walton-on-Thames for the Autumn Term.

💚 Connect with nature
💚 Connect with others
💚 Connect with themselves

If you feel your daughter would benefit from some time outdoors, away from screens and surrounded by supportive peers, we’d love to welcome her into our community.

🦉🐾🌿 It happens almost every time we welcome children at one of our Unplugged Kids Clubs. A child arrives, drops their bag, and runs straight to a log to see who is hiding underneath. They spot a footprint in the ground or a bird in the trees and immediately tell us the name of the species.

Over the last few years, we’ve been completely blown away by these natural-born naturalists and ecologists coming through our gates. Watching them has inspired us to build a dedicated programme for future David Attenboroughs to nurture their passions. We want to create a space where they can build a community of like-minded young people who inspire each other about ecology, find ways to take care of our planet, and take action to stop climate change.

📢 We are opening a unique opportunity to a handful of children to join the The Nature Club starting in September. This year-round programme will run across all four seasons, offering a unique opportunity to explore woodland wildlife in the daylight and after dark.

We will bring in inspiring guests, wildlife experts, change-makers, and people deeply passionate about protecting our planet.

Our ultimate goal is to create a hub: a supportive community of like-minded young people who inspire each other to take real action to protect our planet. 🌎✨

👉 If you'd like your child to be a part of this journey, write Nature in the comments and I will send you a link to more information.

The Screen-Free Reset
Getting children outside to play has enormous benefits for their wellbeing. It fills them with a sense of freedom, teaches them about the natural world, blances out their mood, builds their social skills and gets them naturally tired, happy and calm.

Children thrive when they feel trusted, listened to and involved in real-life activities. We see this every day in our work when children are given a genuine voice and the opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways, their confidence, independence and sense of belonging grow.

Today, we involved children in the conservation work of our woodland, as well as creating a sensory path. It has been fascinating to watch them take part, share their ideas and show such commitment and care in creating something they can feel proud of.

☀️ Day 1 at Unplugged Kids Club was a fantastic start to our summer holiday club. The energy was high and every child left tired out and happy.
We packed a lot into our first day. The kids tie-dyed their t-shirts, build their own fidget toys, and it was brilliant to see so many first-timers having a go at climbing our beloved Oak tree. Between all the crafting, upcycling, and outdoor play, it was just a brilliant day of screen-free fun.
We can not wait for the rest of the week!

In just a couple of days, we are opening the gates to our enchanted Tree Canopy woods for unplugged summer adventures. Here, imagination leads the way and child-led play is celebrated over a rigid timetable of activities. We will be discovering forgotten crafts, creating imaginative castles, building secret dens, gathering for group games and cooking together over an open fire.

If your child would like to make great summer memories and join us for real adventures, you can find out more via the link in our bio.
We look forward to seeing everyone next week 🫶🌳.
