New Service: Trinity SELT Preparation (A1, A2, B1 GESE & B1 ISE)

Delivered by an experienced ESOL lecturer with professional experience examining Trinity GESE and ISE spoken English language tests.
If you’re preparing for a Trinity SELT test for your UK visa, proper preparation makes a huge difference. Many candidates lose their £160 fee simply because they don’t know what the examiner expects — or what will happen in the exam room.

Our online preparation sessions help you:

• Understand the exact format of the A1, A2 and B1 GESE tests

• Practise the real speaking tasks with expert guidance

• Build confidence, fluency and clear communication

• Learn how the examiner assesses your performance

• Avoid the common mistakes that lead to failure

• Prepare effectively for B1 ISE (Speaking & Listening)

Suitable for:
Spouse/partner visas • Visa extensions • Settlement • Citizenship (ISE B1)

Session options available:
Quick readiness check • Full preparation sessions • Mock exam with feedback • Fast‑track support for urgent deadlines

If you’d like to book a session or ask a question, send a message to this page.

Well, results day is finally here. All my year 11 students have now reported in. We have a clean sweep of grade 4 or above.
Some years I get asked, why no grade 7, 8 or 9? Final grade outcomes depend on which students I recruit, the level they are starting from, how well they progress and how they perform in their exams. This year's outcomes include three students who were working at grade 2 or 3 when we started. Getting them over the line with a grade 4 is definitely a good result. ☺️

Just back from delivering 1 day higher GCSE maths year 10 to 11 transition course at Queen Anne's School in Reading. When it comes to trying to earn some summer pocket money, I'd rather be in a classroom engaging directly with students than sitting at my computer 💻 doing marking.
Next week, I'll be delivering a similar course at a school in London. Only 4 weeks to go then my 2026-27 tuition programme begins.

Well, this weekend, I have managed to complete the scheduling for my 2026-27 maths tuition service. Some 19:00 sessions have been blocked off in an attempt to not have as many late finishes as in 2025-26. Let's see how it goes.

I can teach this topic a few different ways. Using Venn diagrams would usually be my first choice. Hopefully my student now understands why he was marked down for answering '9' when asked for the HCF of 36 and 270.
