Oh my what an incredible first day back !
Parents and carers, your children have blown us away with their approach , positivity and politeness today. Every class has had a sense of togetherness and participation , a truly wonderful first day back and I’m sure a sign of a fantastic year ahead.
We now cant wait to welcome our littlest members of the Leighswood family on Monday when Reception and Nursery return for their first days .

We are so excited to welcome our children back to school tomorrow . We know there will be a mixture of pride , excitement , nerves and hopes all bundled into tomorrow morning for all of us - and so many of us will be taking photographs of their child's first day back to school .
While we don’t wish to detract from such a joyous moment , a little reminder to please take care before sharing those precious pictures on social media to avoid gifting strangers with so many of your children’s personal details .
The picture below has been shared through many platforms and is a timely reminder to keep what’s most precious to us , the most safe too .
We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow at 8:45 for the start of the new academic year .

We are so excited to welcome our children back to school and hope you’ve truly had a wonderful summer break.
A gentle reminder that with over 400 students all dressed to impress on those first days , please make sure their names are labelled on their personal items and clothing to make reuniting the lunchtime jumper pile and lunchbox trolleys so much easier .
Thankyou for helping us to support our children and avoid the end of school day panic . Enjoy the next final few days together and we look forward to welcoming you all back shortly for the new academic year.

Please share far and wide to anyone who you feel may benefit from accessing our wonderful, local foodbanks over the summer. They are friendly, welcoming places and offer free support and advice as well as being able to offer support with food, clothing and toiletries. School will also be open during the third week of the holidays should any of our Leighswood families wish to seek support or food bank vouchers . Please come to KS2 office on Monday 3rd or Friday 7th August between 11am to 1pm .

What a win for the England Team!

With the team through to the next round on Wednesday night at 8pm , for those wanting to watch at home , we are happy to authorise a slightly later than usual start to the day for children with a 10:30 (at the latest )arrival on Thursday morning so families may watch together without the worry of a school night .

For those wishing to begin school at usual time , we will be watching the repeat together in school from 9:15 . However and whenever you choose to watch , we look forward to sharing in the excitement of the next round .
