We are bringing together incredible young dancers from across our local community for a high-energy evening of dance with a sharing of Contemporary, Jazz and Street styles. Thank you for your kind words and for providing such excellent service during our recent trip. We are extremely proud of our students for the way they conducted themselves throughout the visit. Their enthusiasm, respect and positive attitude made the trip a memorable experience for everyone involved.

We are incredibly proud of one of our students, Jaden, who has shown remarkable strength, resilience, and compassion following the loss of his sister, Davina, in December.

Despite navigating such a difficult time, Jaden has remained dedicated to his studies while working alongside his family to honour Davina’s memory through fundraising and charitable donations. Their efforts have supported Green Park School and a local children’s ward, helping to bring comfort, support, and happiness to other children and families.

Davina’s mother, Sunita, shared:

“It means a great deal to our family to know that Davina is remembered so fondly. We are trying our best to celebrate her life and continue her legacy through the fundraising and support we are giving to Green Park School and the children’s ward. Knowing that others are thinking of her brings us a lot of comfort.”

She also spoke of Jaden’s incredible contribution:

“Jaden misses his sister very much, but I know he takes comfort in helping others in her name. He has worked incredibly hard supporting the fundraising and donation efforts in memory of his sister, Davina, and I am very proud of how he has conducted himself during such a difficult time.”

We feel privileged to have Jaden as part of our school community and are inspired by the kindness, courage, and determination shown by him and his family. We look forward to supporting their future fundraising efforts as they continue Davina’s legacy and help bring joy to others.

🐾 Tilly - A Day in School Through My Eyes… 🐾

Hello everyone! It’s been another busy and rewarding day at school for me. 🐶

I started the morning by meeting and greeting students as they arrived from the buses. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces, and even better that lots of students remembered my name!

Next, I spent some time supporting students during their Maths exam, helping to create a calm and relaxed environment so they could feel confident and do their very best.

I also tried something new today, joining maths, reading and Lexonic intervention sessions, where I quietly listened while students worked hard on their learning.

A quick stroll through Sixth Form showed me just how focused everyone was, before a very busy break and lunchtime! I enjoyed plenty of attention from students, receiving more than 200 strokes throughout the day. One student even told me I had made their day – which certainly made mine too! ❤️

After all that hard work, it was time for a well-earned treat and a little rest.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello. I can’t wait to see you all again next week!

Over 180 Year 7 students have already booked their place on Pledge Week in the last week of term, with day trips to the beach, a castle, a zoo and a high-ropes adventure park. Any year 7 students still wishing to participate can be booked in via the Parent Arbor App.

A final chance to book Active Learning Week activities! We will send out a Google Form to those who have not yet selected their preferred activities tomorrow. Remaining places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Reply quickly to avoid disappointment.

As we celebrate National Carers Week, we want to remind our wonderful community at Cheslyn Hay Academy that we are here to support our students who help look after a family member at home.

If your child provides vital care, support, or help for a loved one, we would love to know. Our goal is to ensure they have all the backing they need to thrive both academically and emotionally. 🎓✨

We are incredibly proud to be working closely with Staffordshire Together for Carers and n-compass, two fantastic organisations offering a wealth of advice, resources, and guidance for unpaid carers.
