Hydesville Tower School has been leading independent education in Walsall for boys and girls aged 2-16

Hydesville Tower School is a co-educational independent day school in Walsall, providing high quality education for children from age 3 to age 16, as part of a continuing development process which encourages children to achieve their maximum potential. Class sizes are limited in number so that each child is known as an individual with unique needs and talents. The school is situated adjacent to the Arboretum in Walsall and has been established for over 50 years.

Our pupils enjoyed an engaging and informative Loudmouth Education & Training workshop exploring puberty, growing up and the transition to secondary school.

Through drama and discussion, pupils were able to explore these important topics in a fun, age-appropriate and supportive way. A valuable addition to our PSHE and personal development programme. 👏

We're still riding the high of yesterday's results. So, here's a quick round-up!

A fabulous morning celebrating the wonderful achievements of our class of 2026!

Our pupils have smashed it out of the park with this years results and we couldn't be anymore prouder.

An impressive 37% of all grades awarded were at grades 9–7, while 95% of all grades were graded 9–4. The school also achieved a 100% pass rate in English Literature, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, French, History, Religious Studies and Art.

We are delighted that 100% of pupils achieved five or more GCSEs at grade 4 or above, demonstrating the strong academic progress and commitment of our students.

Students achieved exceptional results across a broad range of subjects, reflecting the dedication and ambition of the year group, alongside the outstanding quality of teaching, guidance and support provided by the school.

Particularly impressive results were achieved in Religious Studies, with 100% of students achieving grades 9–7. This was followed by History at 83%, Chemistry at 67%, and Biology at 67%.

Students also performed strongly across the creative and language subjects, with 50% achieving grades 9–7 in French and Music, followed by 48% in Geography and 40% in Art.
