We have a discussion on in B16 8JS regarding the courses and learning advice offered at colleges on Tuesday 22nd January lasting 2-hour for students and parents that are in in year 12 / first year of college & attend one of the following schools/ colleges: Access Creative College (Access to Music LTD), Dudley College of Technology, Sandwell Academy, Lordswood Girls' School and Sixth Form Centre, University College Birmingham, Walsall Studio School or City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College. You will be paid £50 as thanks for taking part

Walsall Studio School is a specialist studio school with a bespoke curriculum and pedagogy designed Studio Schools are a new type of state school model that has been developed in partnership with local and national employers, leading education agencies and government.

🎼 Getting ready for tomorrow night! 🎼


To showcase the wonderful talent we have across KS4 and KS5, the music department are putting on a live stream show of acoustic performances titled Debut Lounge. This show will be a live steam event shown via YouTube.

The streamed event will take place Thursday 17th February from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. It will run as a normal show and will be hosted by students and staff. To attend the live event simply click on the below link on the day (this link will also be emailed and text out on the day of the event).
Alternatively, typing ‘Debut Lounge 2022’ into YouTube should bring up the show.

Congratulations to our very own Lina who won the Community Heroes category of the 2021 Apps for Good Awards!!!

She designed 'Classmates', an app that helps to support struggling students to form secure study groups online with their peers and received feedback such as:
"The safety features are good."
"The presentation was strong."
"Hits all the social points as it can be used outside of the covid situation. It has the possibility to be used in the future."
"The research that was done was very well done."

This year, the music department will be launching our very own summer music festival titled Debut Festival. The purpose of this festival is to showcase the wonderful musical talent we have at Walsall Studio School in both KS4 and 6th form. Many performers will be playing in a festival environment for the first time, hence the name… Debut.

The event will take place on Thursday 8th July from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. It will run as a normal show and will be hosted by students and staff. Details to watch the show online will follow.
