Pupils had a mind-bending experience at the Paradox Museum!

We’re thrilled to share that Matrix Academy Trust received the Highly Commended Award for CFO of the Year at the MAT Excellence Awards, presented by Optimus Education. Members of the team had the privilege of representing the Trust at the awards ceremony, where we also celebrated being shortlisted for Trust of the Year alongside some incredible trusts from across the country.

After a long and successful travel day, pupils enjoyed exploring Stockholm while walking to dinner🇸🇪

On Tuesday 7 July 2026, more than 6,500 pupils from across our Trust will come together at the iconic Alexander Stadium for what we believe could be the largest school sports day in the UK.
This incredible celebration of sport, teamwork and achievement will see pupils competing, performing and representing their schools on one of the country's most famous sporting stages.
Parents and family members of participating pupils will be welcome to attend and cheer them on. Further details will be shared by schools once finalists have been confirmed.

Cadets from across the Matrix Academy Trust Combined Cadet Force had the incredible opportunity to fly with 8 Air Experience Flight at RAF Cosford.
For many cadets, this was their first experience of flying in a military aircraft, giving them a unique insight into aviation and the Royal Air Force. The sorties provided an unforgettable experience, allowing cadets to see their local area from the air whilst learning about the principles of flight from experienced RAF personnel.

An inspiring and thought-provoking day at the CST Governance Conference, with trustees engaging in meaningful discussions, learning from sector leaders, and reflecting on the vital role of governance in education.

We're pleased to highlight the impact of our Staff Sponsorship Initiative, which recently supported Miss Clarke from Barr Beacon School, a member of Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team (SSART), through funding that has contributed directly to the purchase of a new drone to assist in search and rescue operations.

SSART expressed their sincere gratitude for the sponsorship funding that helped make this equipment possible. The Trust is proud to have played a part in supporting this work, which has a direct and meaningful impact on saving lives and supporting vulnerable individuals and their families.
