More from Year 3!

In the spotlight this week is... Year 3!
It’s been another busy time for us in Year 3. We have been learning about how plants grow in Science and have planted some seeds and carried out an investigation to see how water is transported in plants. We have also learnt about shadows and carried out an investigation outside to see how our shadows change. In maths we have been learning to tell the time and in English we did some hot seating to learn more about the characters in our class book. In art we have enjoyed making canopic jars from clay and in DT we designed and made a sarcophagus. Finally, for David Attenborough’s 100 birthday we made our own wishes for the world and hung them on the trees outside. We love learning!

Mr Rogers has been busy teaching the children how to play cricket correctly, during our afterschool club. From bowling the ball, batting and standing in the right position. The children had a great time and were spilt into two teams to participate in a competitive game at the end!

There was pass the parcel, musical statues , musical chairs and a dancing competition, party food and best of all balloons! We had a great time. We are not going to stop counting though. Next, we are counting in 2s, 5s and 10s!
