Inspiring the next generation of engineers! 🚀

This week, we welcomed Royal Air Force Air Cadets to In-Comm Training for two fantastic STEM and engineering taster days.

On Tuesday, cadets discovered more about In-Comm, apprenticeships and the basics of engineering before designing, building and racing their own prototype model cars! 🏎️

Then on Thursday, our 15–17-year-old visitors explored engineering careers and heard from one of our senior apprentices about “life as an apprentice”, before tackling a creative engineering challenge to design and build a device capable of transporting a plastic ball across vertical and horizontal distances. 🔧

Both days were packed with teamwork, problem-solving, creativity and plenty of competitive spirit - and the feedback from the cadets was fantastic!

We’re proud to announce that In-Comm Training is supporting the brand-new Shropshire & Telford Manufacturing Festival, taking place on 24 November at AFC Telford United.

The Festival will bring together local manufacturers and more than 700 Year 9 students for an exciting day of hands-on activities, giving young people the opportunity to discover the world of engineering and manufacturing and learn more about the rewarding careers available within the sector.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect the next generation with local industry, spark curiosity and showcase the skills, innovation and career opportunities that are right on their doorstep.
