Mayfield Preparatory School

On Friday, last week, pupils from Kindergarten to Upper II experienced a taster session of bhangra dancing. This was to promote a new after school club starting in September. If your child is interested please speak to the office for details.

Upper II are learning about probability in Mathematics.

Well done to our Mayfield's Got Talent Finalists. You were amazing! 3rd Place-Mila (Transition) Gymnastics. 2nd Place-Vinnie (Form I) Piano and Samay (Lower III) Speed Chess. 1st Place Winner-Dawood (Lower II) Sign language and singing.

Football club was back on this week. Well done to Rohan for being Man of the Match.

Well done to Form I on their class assembly on the Men's World Cup 2026. Lots of facts and interesting information were presented and pupils looked fantastic with some colourful flags and shirts!

LII and FII played West House, bowling first with strong accuracy, wickets, and run outs. Despite a high-scoring batting effort, they narrowly lost. The rain held off, spirits stayed high, and West House’s coach praised it as Mayfield’s best team in ten years.

Selected LII & FII were chosen to attend a cricket festival encouraging children to play cricket. They practiced the skills of bowling, batting, catching & fielding in the morning. Before playing Rocket Fuel & continuous cricket after lunch. Each school was given a country to represent that are taking part in the Women's Cricket world cup this summer. We represented Pakistan 🇵🇰

Mayfield Under 11s team convincingly won 5 out of 5 matches in the Walsall Schools cricket competition at Aldridge Cricket Club. They qualified for the finals and are optimistic about their chances of becoming Walsall Schools Champions. Watch this space for further updates.
