Aldridge Premier Tuition

One of our daytime pupils has put in a tremendous effort to raise money for the Jeff Astle Foundation and has smashed his original target of raising £2000. He started planning for the walk before the summer break and the big day is now very close.

On Wednesday he will be missing his education here at Aldridge Premier Tuition and doing a 40 mile walk from West Brom to Derby, hopefully in time to watch the game. He is expecting the walk to take 15 hours with a couple of rest breaks included. He has been practicing all summer to ensure he is ready for the big walk.

We wish him all the best for Wednesday and hope our donation really helps to make a difference for the fantastic work the Jeff Astle Foundation does.

We are delighted to win another two award titles to our collection courtesy of SME News. Being listed again in their awards winners booklet is something we are very proud of.

This is the first time we have been listed twice for two separate awards and the titles of the awards is very important to us.

Most Pupil Focused GCSE Tuition Centre - West Midlands. This award is in recognition for our work with our GCSE pupils. Not two pupils have the same lessons at Aldridge Premier Tuition. That's because every pupil is unique and every pupil has a different focus, different goal. Our pupils lead their lessons, they know what they need to cover. This empowerment of pupils has seen some fantastic results over the last couple of years. It might also explain why our GCSE places fill up very quickly. We have an amazing team at Aldridge Premier Tuition who put pupils learning and progress at the heart of every lesson.

Alternative Education Excellence Award - West Midlands. Again, this award is well deserved as our alternative provision has seen some excellent results over the last 4 years. Pupils passing exams, getting onto colleges, returning to school but more importantly pupils enjoying education who haven't enjoyed education for a long time. Our alternative provision gets bigger and better year and of course puts the pupil and their future at the front of everything we do. We are not only proud of the education development but also personal development and their work with the local community.

It's been a great start to the week welcoming back out pupils and meeting new pupils having their first lessons.

We have also enjoyed hearing about all the great adventures of the six week holidays.

Our sessions are now running as normal and our tutors are busy planning for the weeks ahead to help our pupils achieve great things. We do still have availability in all subjects.

Our daytime sessions are also running as normal, this year we have added extra provision to help meet the needs of the pupils. We have also enjoyed congratulating the pupils who took their exams in Year 10.

Aldridge Premier Tuition is celebrating its 11th birthday today.

It has been an amazing 11 years with lots to celebrate including:

* Hundreds of children getting places at local Grammar Schools
* Hundreds of children passing their GCSEs with many scoring above their predicted grades
* Thousands of children improving their confidence and making great progress in English, Maths and Science. We work with pupils from 5 years old and it is amazing to see everyone enter with a smile and leave with a bigger smile.
* Many awards won, celebrating our successes and continued improvement.
* Our daytime provision being set up, working with a range of pupils who are home educated and with schools to help some of their pupils who find the school environment overwhelming.

As always we would like to thank our staff, who are all amazing teachers and have a passion for helping our pupils develop. Some of the staff have been with us the entire 11 years and others have joined during that time.

And thank you to all the parents who have trusted us to help prepare their children for different stages of their education.

Aldridge Premier Tuition has been busy developing a set of 11+ papers which are based on the GL ones used in West Midlands Grammar School tests. Today we are offering people the chance to have one of our English papers for free.

The paper has four sections, a pupil answer sheet and a detailed answer scheme which can be sent via email in PDF format.

People often ask how it works at Aldridge Premier Tuition? How does it all start and how does it normally all end?

It normally starts with a FREE consultation so we can find out current levels, working styles, gaps in knowledge and most importantly your goals.

Then we find a time that is suitable for you to have you lessons and match you with one of our expert tutors who will be ready to help you reach those important goals.

As you attend more lessons, you get more confident, you understand the journey you are on and how you are getting closer to that final goal.

Then at the end, when you get those results we celebrate that success.

Our next 11+ Mock Exam is on Wednesday 26th August. The first session is now FULL and there are only 8 spaces left on the second session.

Session 1 is 3:00pm to 5:00pm FULL

Session 2 is 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm ( 8 spaces left)

Each exam is limited to 20 places that will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The cost of the exam is £40 and we have a variety of payment options including cash, bank transfer or via the tax-free childcare scheme.

Included in the price is the 2 hour exam with feedback (both verbal and written) available directly after. The report will have a target score which using past data is a good indicator of where you should be to be considered on track.

The exam will be GL format which is the chosen format for West Midlands Grammar Schools. Pupils will record their answers on multiple choice sheets and each section is strictly timed accordingly.
