Dear Parents,

As we reach the end of another school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on all that we have achieved together and to thank everyone who has contributed to making our school such a special place this year.

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate all of our pupils. Throughout the year, they have demonstrated determination, enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to learning. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, through the arts, or in the many wider opportunities school provides, they have continued to make us proud with their achievements and personal growth.

This year, our pupils have embodied our THRIVE values in so many ways. They have shown Togetherness by supporting one another, Honesty in their actions, Respect for others, Inspiration through their achievements and positive attitudes, Valour when facing challenges, and Empathy towards those around them. These values are at the heart of our school community and help make our school a place where everyone can flourish.

I would also like to thank our dedicated and hardworking staff. Their passion, care and commitment to providing the very best opportunities for every child have been evident throughout the year. They continually go above and beyond to support our pupils both academically and personally, and I am extremely grateful for all that they do.

To our parents and carers, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Working together enables us to provide the best possible experiences for our children, and your encouragement and involvement play a vital role in their success.

This time of year always brings mixed emotions as we prepare to say goodbye to our Year 6 pupils. They have achieved so much during their time with us and have left a lasting mark on our school community. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and wish them every success, happiness and fulfilment as they begin the next exciting chapter of their education.

As we look forward to the summer break, I hope everyone has the opportunity to relax, make special memories and enjoy time with family and friends.

Thank you once again for a wonderful year. We look forward to welcoming pupils back to school on Wednesday 2nd September as we begin another year of learning, growth and success together.

Have a fantastic summer.

Kind regards
Mr Griffiths

Celebrating an Amazing CHPA Achievement!

As we come to the end of another school year, we would like to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding achievements of one of our Year 6 pupils who is leaving us this summer.

For the past few years, James Davies has been competing in artistic roller skating at an incredibly high level, both nationally and internationally. We are extremely proud of his achievements and, with the support of James and his family, we would like to share some of his recent successes with our school community.

The photos above include two images from April, when James competed in the German Cup, where he secured an impressive 3rd place. It was an exceptionally close competition, with the top three skaters separated by just a single point.

The other photo was taken last weekend, when James was crowned British Champion for the fourth consecutive year - an incredible accomplishment and a testament to his dedication and talent.

There is also a video attached where you can watch James competing in Zurich last November, where he won the Interland Trophy for his age group.

These remarkable achievements are the result of four years of hard work, commitment and determination, with James training for around eight hours every week. As anyone who has ever tried roller skating will know, success does not come without a few bumps and bruises along the way! Throughout his journey, James has demonstrated the resilience, perseverance and positive attitude that we value so highly at CHPA. He has continually picked himself up, worked hard and achieved great things.

We are incredibly proud of James and wish him every success as he continues his roller skating journey. We look forward to following his future achievements and have no doubt there are many more to come.

Congratulations, James!

Dear Parents and Carers,

Please take a few minutes to read the letter on Class Dojo regarding updates to our Learning for Life (L4L) and Relationships, S*x and Health Education (RSHE) curriculum from September.

We are committed to working closely with families and will be providing opportunities in the Autumn Term for parents and carers to view curriculum resources, ask questions and find out more about what children will be learning.

Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Parents,

As we experience another spell of hot weather, children may wear their PE kits to school for the next couple of days instead of their usual school uniform.

May I please remind parents that our uniform policy states that PE kits should consist of:

Royal blue PE shorts
A house-coloured PE T-shirt (yellow, red, blue or green)

Please also ensure that your child wears suitable footwear. As children will be in their PE kits, trainers are ideal. Crocs, flip-flops and similar footwear are not permitted as they can present a trip hazard.

We will proceed with our planned Sports Days on Thursday and Friday, as these are scheduled to take place during the morning when temperatures are likely to be cooler.

To help us keep children safe and comfortable in the warm weather, please ensure that your child comes to school with a named water bottle, has high-factor sun cream applied before school, and brings a sun hat.

Thank you for your continued support.
