βοΈ Becoming Anglo-Saxon Historians! π‘οΈ
During History this term, we have been learning all about the Anglo-Saxons.
Our lesson began with the children passing around and carefully examining recreated Anglo-Saxon artefacts. We then explored some of the fascinating artefacts unearthed from Sutton Hoo excavation, making inferences about their owner, what they may have been used for, and what they reveal about Anglo-Saxon society.
A fantastic hands-on History lesson full of curiosity, investigation and great fun! πΊβ¨

Investigating Viscosity in Science! π§ͺ
In our science lesson today, Rowan class explored the viscosity of liquids. We tested a variety of liquids by observing how quickly they travelled down a laminated card to see which reached the bottom first.
It was fascinating to compare liquids such as cream, washing-up liquid and maple syrup, and discover how their different thicknesses affected their speed.

π Exploring Vocations, Faith & Service π
Today, Sycamore Class had the wonderful opportunity to visit St Maryβs College Seminary to learn more about vocations and life within the Church.
The pupils engaged thoughtfully throughout the day, gaining insight into the call to serve God and others through different vocations. They showed great reverence, respect, and curiosity as they explored seminary life and deepened their understanding of faith and service.
Thank you to everyone at St Mary's College, Oscott for their warm welcome and inspiring hospitality.
