Year 3 had a fantastic time during their live online lesson with the National Marine Aquarium, WWF, and the amazing Steve Backshall! 🐠🌊
The children were fully engaged as they learnt all about a variety of marine animals, including those found around the UK’s shores. They explored how these incredible creatures live, what challenges they face, and the important work being done to protect our native species and their habitats. 🐢🐟
They were absolutely over the moon when Steve answered one of their questions — such an exciting moment for everyone! 🤩
It was a wonderful opportunity to deepen their understanding of conservation and how we can all play a part in looking after our oceans and our Earth.

We had a fantastic time in Forest School this afternoon with the year 5's. Lots of fun games to play. Painting Forest School designs, building dens and finding new species of mini-beasts we had not seen before.

Today, the year 4 children explored the forest area, searching for and identifying a variety of minibeasts found within our local environment as part of their Classification Science unit. They carefully observed and safely collected the minibeasts before creating detailed sketches of them, taking on the role of young biologists for the day. The children had so much fun while developing their observation and investigation skills outdoors.

We have had a lovely few days in year 3 learning all about ‘Jackson Pollock’. We enjoyed practicing the splatting and dripping skills, which he used in his creations.

This afternoon, we completed our final pieces. They look fantastic and the children have worked so hard!

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks in Year 2 as we’ve been completing our SATs.

The children have worked super-hard and have only today found out that they even did SATs!

In between the tests, we’ve been learning about Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Pop Art.

Here are a few of the pieces the children have worked on.
