Cheers to a successful crossflow module repair! 🥂

Our team at Dynamic Water Solutions Limited recently tackled a haze issue at a winery by repairing a hollow fibre crossflow module.

We attended site and first completed an integrity test to support our suspicions. We removed the offending module to identify the broken fibres within the testing bath. On this occasion only two were found. The fibres were pin repaired at both ends and passed an integrity test post repair to the customers delight.

Crossflow was handed back to the customer for CIP then production rather than installing a costly replacement module 👌

We have a trial 8m3/hr (8000 l/hr) RO Plant (at 25 Degrees C design temperature) finally leaving one of our sites and is eager to find a forever home at a site in the UK

She is in great condition and will only require membrane replacement and some cosmetic clean up from our own team to be ready to work from installation.

One of our district hot water pre treatment packages installed this month at a large private school due to a very deep borehole with some pretty horrendous hardness. Whenever installing boilers and water heaters ensure you are aware of the fine print such as the water requirement before the installation. This customer had a tough lesson before contacting ourselves for a solution resulting in 3 out 6 boiler replacements.

We have used 8 x Dow TW4040 RO Membranes for a temporary plant at an NHS Hospital last week. The plant has been returned to us and we are now selling these membranes at reduced cost to save wasting them should they remain dry to long. 4 have been sold to yet with. 4 remaining.

Have a check online but they retail anywhere between £2-350 and we are selling them for £75 if collecting from our warehouse.
DM me for any information but these membranes are a premium grade and have had GAC/Softener as pre treatment therefore are effectively still brand new.

Great set of support calls today from both contractual and one-off clients. All of them culminate around some common grounds:

- wastewater/none standard filtration and ion exchange plants
- Quality specifications breached

All had the same thing in common causing the upset...... ☀️🌡️ it’s strange how the temperature due to the weather can be such an ideal example of how a design can be turned on its head.

Always consult with your service provider and hope they are as knowledgeable and conscientious as our team. A competent process/purification service provider will be able to take data to interpret if your plant truly has an issue instead of temperature correction to factor in. Allowing the correct TCF to your data may reveal no upset due to a failed membrane/component.

Never assume your filtration requires replacement. In some cases, this will be a tough costly lesson to learn.
