GCSE Results Day!
Students, staff and families are celebrating today as the Class of 2026 of Churchill Community College receives a strong set of GCSE results, reflecting their commitment, resilience and determination throughout their secondary education.
The school's headline measures demonstrate significant improvements on previous years, with almost 2/3 of students achieving Grade 4 or above in English and Mathematics and an impressive 42% achieving the strong pass benchmark of Grade 5 or above. Students also recorded an Attainment 8 score of 43.1, highlighting achievement across a broad curriculum of eight key qualifications.
There were particularly strong performances in English, where 59% of students achieved Grade 5 or above and 79% secured Grade 4 or above. Mathematics outcomes were also encouraging, with 45% achieving Grade 5 or above and 67% securing Grade 4 or above.
Across the curriculum, students achieved notable success in Science, where nearly 60% secured Grades 4-9 in at least two sciences, while a number of students also excelled in separate sciences and other specialist subjects.
Of the many impressive student performances, a special mention must be made to Jessica R, Jack D, Charles C, Ellis A, Adam S, Simran B, Macey C, Ryan M, Oscar S, Tommy W and Jessica M, who all achieved at least 5 subjects at the highest grades of 7-9.

Every grade achieved today tells a story of determination and personal growth. We are particularly pleased that so many students have secured the qualifications they need to progress confidently to our sixth form, and to college, apprenticeships and employment.

As celebrations continue, staff are supporting students as they confirm places in further education, training and employment, confident that they leave Churchill equipped with the knowledge, skills and character to succeed.
