Our sixth and final spotlight focuses on Continued Professional Development and how we have supported staff to enhance their skills and confidence

We work with staff to aim to deliver high quality PE & enriching opportunities for their pupils. We have worked collaboratively with specialists on bespoke schemes of work and we invest time in helping to strengthen practice, so staff feel empowered to make a real difference in their individual settings

Each week we will take a look back through the year, highlighting some successes and stories involving North Tyneside schools and their pupils.

First up we look at inclusive opportunities, events have included cross country running, bowling, dance, tennis, boccia and multi-sport activity, we would like to highlight & celebrate the young people who have stepped out of their comfort zone, participating in something new & engaging with new friends.

We hope the young people enjoyed being involved and are eager to continue participating! 🎉

That concludes our Trail events for 2026 👏🏻🗺️🧭📍

Over 800 Yr 4 & 5s have taken on our challenge at this year. They worked with their peers to successfully navigate their groups around the site, reaching as many check points as possible. This outdoor adventure exercised the body🚶and the mind🧠 Well done to all!
