#LitterHeroes unite! We were proud to be part of the nation's biggest mass-action environmental campaign between13th to 29th of March. Children enjoyed collecting litter around the nursery site and some families borrowed equipment and picked litter in the community. Well done everyone! Children in Caterpillar class took part in the RSPB 'Big School Birdwatch'. During the hour they identified 3 blackbirds, 4 sparrows and 4 magpies who were busy eating the bird food they made the previous week. Yesterday we held a fundraising event for @mldsupport_ncsw2t2 in support of two pupils at Somerville Federation who have MLD. They truly are superheroes and we celebrated this by dressing as our heroes and superheroes. Thank you everyone for taking part. The final count is yet to be taken but we raised approximately £100 #somervillenursery #charityevent 👏🎉❤️

At Forest school this week, children who missed last week's work using a hand drill and a clamp, were able to complete their creations. Then, as this was our last Forest School session of the academic year, we had a 'cook out'. Children listened carefully to the safety instructions and enjoyed hotdogs around the camp fire!🔥🌭😊 #somervillenursery #forestschool #outdoorlearning
