When your imagination is sparked by an interest

So today we witnessed a beautiful learning opportunity unfold

A member of our Sunflowers shared his memory of "fishing at the park next to mummies work"

This turned into a wonderful moment, very quickly a group of our children were busying themselves around forest school looking for anything they could use as fishing nets.
Soon our Sunflowers were happily fishing (with twigs and leaves) sparking conversion, interests and learning

When a child's specific interest turns into a role-play scenario it provides an effective way to unlock deep, authentic learning across all seven areas of the Early Years Foundation. Children transition from passive learning to active, child-led exploration ❤️
