At the beginning of May we received the wonderful news that our nursery had qualified for the "Eco School Green Flag Award "

This is an award we are immensely proud of. Bekki and our pre-school warriors have worked incredibly hard to achieve this, and continue to do so evey day by following our "Eco promise'

We will continue to save our planet

Today we have hung our flag up for all to see, please come and speak to Bekki if you have any ideas or suggestions to help us continue saving our planet 🌍

Forest school fun for Bluebells

Sam has recently started her Forest school teacher training and is already full of exciting ideas

This week our children have been making Forest school badges 😀

Forest School has become one of the most impactful and child-centred approaches used in Early Years settings across the UK

While outdoor learning is already a key part of the EYFS framework, having a Forest School goes deeper—offering children long-term, child-led and adult led experiences in natural spaces that support the full breadth of EYFS development goals

We are so extremely lucky to have our very own forest school

What a beautiful morning, beach school is such a wonderful experience

Beach School provides our children with an invaluable, hands-on learning environment. The environment promotes holistic development by immersing our children in a dynamic, multi-sensory landscape. This approach builds their confidence, deepens their connection to nature, and naturally covers all seven areas of our curriculum

We are so lucky to have this sitting on our doorstep ❤️

to Lighthouse Lodge

Interacting with care home residents encourages our children to practice active listening, patience and respectful communication—skills they'll carry for life. Intergenerational care can also speed up literacy and language development, thanks to regular interactions with mature, well-spoken adults

Playing "small world" toys with care home residents is a fantastic intergenerational and sensory activity. It encourages imaginative storytelling, fine motor skills, and social connection. Whether paired with nursery children or enjoyed one-on-one, the activity can be easily adapted to suit varying mobility and cognitive levels.

We absolutely love our visits ❤️

We are celebrating

In July our fabulous nursery celebrates it's 25th birthday 🎂

We are unbelievably excited and extremely proud of this MASSIVE mile stone

Saturday July 25th we are holding a huge party here at nursery inviting staff past and present, parents past and present and most importantly our children past and present
