FUTURE DAY
All the children have enjoyed future day! They all looked amazing and enjoyed talking about what they would like to be when they are older. We've had emergency service workers, teachers, race car drivers, gymnasts, dancers, builders and many more!

This morning we have spent time with our guinea pig called cheese the children enjoyed observing him, feeding him and stroking him. After he had eaten some breakfast the children enjoyed holding him and stroking him.

Outside this afternoon we came across a new friend, we looked after them by holding them safely, we spoke about how our friends shell looked, and how his body felt slimy. We showed great understanding in the need to respect and care for the natural living environment

Our caterpillars have grown into butterflies! 🦋
Yesterday we where very excited to see that during the half term our caterpillars had made cocoons and one had finally grown into butterfly. This morning we watched as another caterpillar has hatched and began to fly around in the net.
We can't wait to see them grow stronger over the next two days ready to set them free on Thursday! 😁

We've been on an adventure
This morning we've been learning all about road safety and how to safely cross the roads. We stop, look and listen holding hands with our road safety partner and listen to the teachers. The children all listened well looking left and right listening for cars to cross the road and used a pelican crossing to cross into the park.
We all enjoyed some sunshine in the park and fed the ducks seeing the little ducklings singing 5 little ducks! What a lovely morning we've all had! 🌞🚦🦆

Tulips have had a fun filled day today , we walked down to the Eggy Ferry this morning and watched some boats go past ⛴️ Then this afternoon we walked to Central Park and had some fun on the swings and slides and also fed the ducks

Our very hungry caterpillars 🐛🦋
Today we've finally recieved our caterpillars and can't wait to see how they grow and change into butterflies over the next 4 weeks! All the children where very excited to see the caterpillars watching them move and wriggle around before we watched the very hungry caterpillar story. Keep an eye out for weekly updates 😁

School Readiness - cutting practise!
Today in preschool we've been practicing our cutting skills, discussing how to safely hold and make snips in the paper and talked about being sensible while using our scissors. All the children did so well with support from Jessica while doing the activity and was able to follow the lines printed on the activity sheet
