As it’s international Owl Day today, we’re celebrating our feathery friends with lots of owl themed tasks for the children. The owl has always represented wisdom and knowledge, in fact the goddess Athena had an owl as her symbol. With over 200 species of owl across the world, there’s so much to find out.

Why not have a hoot tonight and read a story with one of our owl friends in. Perhaps owl babies, Winnie the Pooh or Harry Potter. For some book ideas Oxford owl has some suggestions.
