I hope this post finds you well. As some of you know I’ve had an especially isolated lockdown due to living with family who are ‘shielding.’ I haven’t felt that it has been safe for me to effectively offer 1-1 tuition whilst being 2 metres from the children. As lockdown restrictions are being lifted, shielding coming to an end, and government guidance reducing the 2m distancing, I feel that I am able to begin offering tutoring sessions again. I am aiming to restart lessons week commencing 20th July.
I will be working with the children in my dining room where there is plenty of space and ventilation, sitting at least 1m apart. When demonstrating teaching points I will use a large whiteboard on the wall, rather than the paper the child is working on.
I will be unable to be flexible with location of lessons like I have been in the past; children will come to my house. They will be asked to wash or sanitise hands upon arrival, and will have the opportunity to do so again upon leaving. If you wish your child to wear a face covering they are more than welcome to do so.
Preferably, payment will be via bank transfer prior to a lesson. However cash will be accepted.
I am aiming to teach all through the summer holidays (my holiday was cancelled 😢). Lessons are always tailored to the needs of your child following thorough assessment.
If you are interested in your child returning for their tutoring, or they haven’t had tutoring before but you are interested in starting to fill some of the gaps that will inevitable have occurred due to school closures, please send a message and I will get back to you.
Stay safe, Jenna x
