Aww look what came up in my memories today - celebrating the opening of our new home - 12th June 2004 - can’t believe we have been here for 22 years!!

This week we have been reading and sharing stories about our oceans and the creatures that live beneath the waves.
Children have been learning about ocean conservation and the harmful effects of litter, and the importance of proper recycling and keeping our oceans clean using the book “Somebody Swallowed Stanley”
The story delivers a powerful message about ocean plastic pollution and environmental responsibility by following the journey of Stanley, who appears to be a strange jellyfish but is actually a discarded plastic carrier bag
We have been making coral reefs with pasta and playdough which is a fantastic, hands-on sensory activity to pair with our themed book.
It visually demonstrates how vibrant healthy reefs are, helping children understand the marine environments we need to protect.

Happy world bee day
We have had a wonderful time learning all about honey bees! Your little busy bees have been exploring how these amazing insects help our planet.

" We touched a real honeycomb today! Our busy bees used their senses to explore a real piece of honeycomb. They looked closely at the hexagon shapes and felt the texture.

Giving children the wings to fly and the roots to grow is the best gift of all ❤️

Tomorrow, the world will unite in celebrating the wonderful Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday.

A century of wonder, curiosity, and fighting for the natural world -- definitely something to celebrate!
