Today we celebrated Sandal Library’s 75th birthday! 8 children from KS2 visited the library to drop off artwork they had created, which will be placed in a time capsule and buried in the library garden (to be dug up in 15 years).

We then had time to discover the library over the last 75 years, play games and read books. It was a very relaxing afternoon!

If you want to celebrate the anniversary, there is a family fun day on Saturday, when the capsule will be buried.

🌍⚽ World Cup 2026 Celebration! ⚽🌍
Year 2 children celebrated the start of the World Cup 2026 today.
They used their detective skills to find out which flag they had and then coloured it carefully and correctly.
We are proud of their learning and teamwork as they explored countries from around the world!

Year 5 have had an amazing day at YSJ University. We enjoyed a campus tour, learning what uni life is like from current students and what course options there are. We thought about our aspirations and goals for the future and had a mini graduation too. Ask us what we think about university and what our dreams are for the future 🧑‍🎓
