Sandal Magna Community Academy

All of the children in EYFS had an amazing time taking part in our own Sports Day. We did lots of jumping, bouncing and throwing and they were all very tired by the end of the day. Well done everyone 😀

Yesterday all children participated in SMCA Sports Day. The children challenged themselves to complete the activities showing lots of perseverance and determination. We are very proud of all the children and hope everyone watching enjoyed it too! 🏅⚽️🥅🏃

Today we celebrated Sandal Library’s 75th birthday! 8 children from KS2 visited the library to drop off artwork they had created, which will be placed in a time capsule and buried in the library garden (to be dug up in 15 years).

We then had time to discover the library over the last 75 years, play games and read books. It was a very relaxing afternoon!

If you want to celebrate the anniversary, there is a family fun day on Saturday, when the capsule will be buried.

In Nursery we practiced our drawing and fine motor skills by copying off the whiteboard. Lying on our tummy’s to draw makes our body’s strong.

Residential 2026 Over and Out! A fantastic 3 days with some fantastic children who have tried their hardest, given everything a go and been complimented on numerous occasions about how polite and well-mannered they are! Mrs Mullock, Miss Hollis and Mrs Pratt are super proud of everyone! See you all soon!

Residential Day 2 - afternoon!�The weather dried up a little bit and we enjoyed climbing and sensory trail! All children are being amazing and trying their absolute best with all activities! We are ready for our tea now and then hopefully an early night tonight! 😴

We started off a very rainy day with raft building! Then we did some more archery and survival with building some shelters and lighting a fire!
This afternoon it is climbing and sensory trail!

🌍⚽ World Cup 2026 Celebration! ⚽🌍
Year 2 children celebrated the start of the World Cup 2026 today.
They used their detective skills to find out which flag they had and then coloured it carefully and correctly.
We are proud of their learning and teamwork as they explored countries from around the world!
