Our Youth Pilgrims recently gathered for the Lourdes Reunion Mass at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Leeds.

It was wonderful to come together once again, celebrating the special friendships and bonds formed through the Lourdes pilgrimage. The Mass provided an opportunity to reflect on treasured memories, give thanks for shared experiences of faith and service and renew the spirit of friendship that makes the Lourdes journey so special.

A joyful reminder that the impact of Lourdes extends far beyond the pilgrimage itself. 🙏

We look forward to welcoming our Year 11 parents and carers to Parents’ Evening on Thursday 15 October.

Teacher appointments can now be booked via Arbor.

Alongside Parents’ Evening, we will be running a series of Information Sessions that parents and carers can drop into throughout the evening.

We encourage all parents and carers to attend and take advantage of these valuable sessions as we work together to support our Year 11 students to achieve their very best.

We were delighted to welcome Smashed Project into school today to deliver an engaging workshop for our Year 7 students on the dangers of underage drinking.

Smashed is a global alcohol education programme that supports up to two million young people aged 10-17 across 34 countries each year.

Through a series of engaging short films and guided discussions, students were introduced to three relatable characters and challenged to consider the myths and realities surrounding underage drinking. The workshop explored the risks associated with alcohol use and encouraged students to reflect on the importance of making safe and informed choices.

By the end of the session, our students were better informed, more confident, and equipped with the knowledge to make responsible decisions in the future.

Every day is a new beginning, how many will you choose to embrace?

The start of the new school year has seen our student poets exploring the theme of new beginnings.

This poem, written by our resident Young Poet Laureate, Georgia, touches on resilience, growth, and the courage to start again.

There's been lots of excitement in the English Department this week with the new school library space now open!

It has been fantastic to see so many students making the most of the space, with readers from every year group enjoying books, magazines and a quiet place to relax at lunchtime.

We still have plenty of room on our shelves, so if you have any good-quality books or magazines at home that would be suitable for our students, we would love to give them a new home. Help us inspire even more young readers!

Yesterday, we welcomed our Year 11 students back to school in a different way with an exciting Kick Start Day.

Students took part in a range of inspiring activities, including a motivational talk from a former England Rugby League player, CV-writing sessions and workshops led by a university lecturer and a local entrepreneur.

The day concluded with a visit from former student and renowned artist George Rollinson, whose impressive achievements include tattooing England footballer Declan Rice and painting shoes for 50 Cent.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students. They arrived looking smart, engaged brilliantly with all of our visitors, and embraced every opportunity throughout the day. Most importantly, they left with big smiles and plenty of inspiration for the year ahead!
