🚗 PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY 🚗

A quick reminder as I’ve lost £350 this week alone through unpaid lessons, no-shows and late cancellations.

💷 PAYMENT
Lesson payment must be received no later than the exact time of your lesson, 48 hours beforehand.
For example, a Tuesday 10am lesson must be paid by Sunday at 10am.

❌ CANCELLATIONS & CHARGES
✅ 48+ hours’ notice: No charge and the lesson can be rearranged.
⚠️ Less than 48 hours’ notice: The full lesson fee is payable
❌ No-show / no communication: The full lesson fee is payable

If payment hasn’t been received by the 48-hour deadline, I may release the slot rather than leave it empty.

I completely understand genuine emergencies happen and I’m always reasonable where there’s a genuine issue — just communicate with me.

I’m a driving instructor, not a debt collector 😂.
This is my livelihood, so please respect my time and diary.

🚗 The joys of being a driving instructor… 🤦🏻‍♂️

it’s certainly been an eventful couple of weeks! 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

A massive thank you to all of my pupils for being so understanding, patient and flexible recently.

Unfortunately, I’ve had the absolute joy of being involved in TWO separate car accidents in just TWO weeks… and to make matters worse, neither accident was my fault! 🤦🏻‍♂️

The first accident resulted in my car being written off, and RED were brilliant in getting me back on the road with a replacement vehicle.

Then… somehow… i ended up in another accident just two weeks later! 😩😂

Thankfully, everyone is okay, but it has meant having to cancel and rearrange lessons, move pupils around and generally cause a fair bit of disruption to everyone’s schedules.

I know how important your driving lessons are, especially for those of you working towards your tests, so I really do appreciate how understanding you've all been while I’ve dealt with everything.

A huge THANK YOU to every pupil who has been flexible with rearranging lessons, and to those who have checked in to make sure I’m okay. It genuinely means a lot.

Hopefully that’s my accident quota for the next 10 years because I really don’t fancy making this a hat-trick! 😂🤞

🚘 Back on the road, lessons back underway and hopefully it’s now plain sailing from here!

MOTORWAY DRIVING — FEELING A LITTLE NERVOUS?

Passed your test but still avoid motorways whenever you can?

You're definitely not alone!

Motorway driving can feel completely different to driving around your local area, especially when you're dealing with:

🚗 GOT A QUESTION ABOUT LEARNING TO DRIVE?

There are no silly questions here.

Whether you're thinking about learning, already taking lessons, or just not sure where to start — you're always welcome to ask.

❓ “I’m really nervous about learning. Is that okay?”

Absolutely! Being nervous is completely normal. You don't have to arrive feeling confident — that's what learning is for. 😊

❓ “I have a disability or additional needs. Can I still learn to drive?”

Potentially, yes! Everyone's circumstances are different, and there may be adaptations, assessments or additional support available. If you're unsure, ask! I'll always do my best to help you find the right information.

❓ “What if I need things explained differently?”

That's okay. Everyone learns differently. If something isn't making sense, tell me — we'll find a way that works for you.

❓ “I have anxiety. Can I still learn?”

Of course. You don't need to be fearless to learn to drive. Building confidence is part of the journey.

❓ “I’m an adult and I’ve never driven before. Is that embarrassing?”

Absolutely not! There is no age limit on learning something new. 🚗

❓ “What if I’ve failed my test before?”

Then you haven't failed at learning — you've simply got more learning to do. We'll look at what happened and work from there. 💪

❓ “Can I ask you something before booking?”

YES! 🙌

I’m Tom 👋 — a PDI working towards becoming a fully qualified driving instructor with RED.

I’m currently building my experience, learning every day and, most importantly, helping people become safer, more confident drivers. 🚘

I know learning to drive can feel exciting, stressful, confusing… and sometimes all three at once! 😂
