💡Can employers send multiple technicians to your courses?

Of course! We limit class sizes to a maximum of six candidates, but we can accommodate multiple technicians from the same employer.
We can also deliver training at an employer’s premises where suitable facilities and vehicles are available!

💡How practical are the courses and what will I be doing?

On our courses, you can expect 50% classroom based theory and 50% practical tasks. For our Level 4 EV qualifications, we have also developed practical assessment activities to replace the written assignment.

We provide students with all the specialist high-voltage PPE required for the training. However, you will need to bring suitable safety footwear to your course.

At our training school, we are always met with questions from prospective students. So, we are answering our most asked questions each Friday. This week's question is for those who may be new to the world of EVs:

💡Do I need previous EV experience?

Not necessarily.
You don't need previous EV experience, however, you should have experience working as a vehicle technician or engineer, and have an understanding of the basic principles of vehicle operation.

Throughout the courses, we'll guide you through both the theory and practical elements, helping you develop confidence before working with high-voltage systems in your own workplace.

🧑‍🏫⚡️ A new qualification coming to Pelican EV Automotive Training!

Here at the training centre, we are expanding our green skills provision with the LCL Awards Level 3 F-Gas Category I qualification.

This is designed to support technicians working on the larger HVAC systems commonly found on buses and coaches, including systems using refrigerants such as R410A and R407C.

The qualification supports technicians and employers in meeting F-Gas legal requirements for refrigerant handling, servicing, recovery and leakage checking.
