Childminding Assistant Maternity Cover (with Potential for Permanent Position)

We are seeking a reliable, caring, and enthusiastic Childminding Assistant to join our setting to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a temporary role initially; however, there may be the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.

I am a registered Ofsted childminder and am looking for a reliable, caring Childminding Assistant to join my setting.

Hours:
• 20 hours per week
• Optional overtime available
• Days and times to be discussed

Role includes:
• Supporting children’s play, learning and development
• Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
• Assisting with daily routines, outings and activities
• Working in line with the EYFS, safeguarding and welfare requirements

Essential requirements:
• Aged 17+
• A genuine interest in working with children
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training will be provided.
• Willingness to undertake or already hold a paediatric first aid certificate
• Enhanced DBS check required and must not be barred from working with children.
• Suitable references required
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable (but not essential):
• Experience working with children
• Relevant childcare qualifications

• Interviews will take place
This month
• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview
This role will be dependent on reference's and enhanced DBS check.

🪱✨ Bug Hunt in Spaghetti! ✨🍝

Our little explorers had a squishy, wiggly good time finding hidden bugs in spaghetti today! Using tweezers (and tiny fingers), they searched, squeezed, and giggled their way through this fun sensory experience.

Afterwards, we relaxed with some bug-themed picture books, spotting caterpillars, beetles, and butterflies together. 🐛📚

Learning through play never looked so much fun! 💛

We’ve had such a fun week with our little ones our favourite activity was exploring the tuft tray, learning all about zoo animals, and using our little hands to build beautiful connective flowers. 🦒🐘🦍🌷

🍂🍁 Autumn fun in action! 🍁🍂

Our little explorers have been busy diving into an autumn sensory tray full of crunchy leaves – lots of giggles, rustles and messy fun! 🤎✨

We then got creative with paints in gorgeous autumn colours – reds, oranges, yellows and browns 🎨🍂. The children loved making their own masterpieces inspired by the season.🥰
