🍎🍂 Autumn Harvest Fun! 🍂🍎

We’ve been exploring our autumn harvest! The children picked apples from the tree, then enjoyed washing, peeling and cutting them. 🍎

We also made a delicious homemade beef and vegetable harvest stew, helping to prepare, chop, add and stir the ingredients before enjoying our finished meal. 🥕🥔🥩

It’s wonderful to see our 2+ year olds’ learning paying off! 🌟

Over the past few weeks we’ve been exploring measuring and volume through fun pouring activities. Today, they all confidently poured their own drinks at snack time with no spillages! 🥤👏

So proud of how these everyday activities are helping to build their independence, confidence and important life skills. 💛

🐝 We visited a real beehive and learned all about bees and why they are so important to our world. The children enjoyed exploring the hive, taking part in bee-themed activities, and of course tasting some delicious honey! 🍯

🐝 Fun Fact: It takes the lifetime work of around 12 bees to make just one teaspoon of honey!

🍦 What a fantastic time had at our pretend ice cream shop! Using cloud dough as our “ice cream”, the children scooped, served, took payments and enjoyed lots of imaginative role play. They loved creating their own ice cream combinations and serving their friends and customers. 😊

The children loved getting stuck into icy dinosaur excavations, discovering hidden fossils, making crunchy “dinosaur snacks,” and creating their own delicious dinosaur fruit parcels 🍓🍌

Today we went foraging for bright yellow dandelions 🌼
They picked the flowers, then we brought them back to wash and de-petal to make dandelion and orange muffins 🍊
They loved weighing, mixing and squeezing the oranges—finishing with a tasty treat! ✨
