This week I submitted my Post-Production and Cross Platform Publishing assignment. It was a difficult assignment that dealt with both legal and publishing pre-flight checklists and required me to write a number of boilerplate documents such as an NDA and EULA. I feel that Study Game Design is unique in the course that has been provided to us as it delves more into being an . We have the knowledge to develop games using a variety of software but also the knowledge to set up/run an indie company.
I know that the image has already been posted but wanted to put it back up as using the mindmap really helped me during the assignment when creating the checklists.
If anyone is interested in seeing what the have done over the past 2 years on the course, come to our event on the 27th April http://goo.gl/p2KHoJ

The accompanying gif demonstrates some AudioMixer funkyness.
A while back I looked into the AudioMixer that is part of for a game UI I was working on, this week I've been looking into it again for another project and just love how the AudioMixer slider's move up and down as I manipulate the settings within the game UI.
If anyone is interested in seeing more of my game development come to the event on the 27th April. Further information can be found here http://goo.gl/p2KHoJ and event tickets can be purchased here http://ow.ly/4mKEtg

Been working on creating a Legal pre-flight check-list and a Publishing pre-flight check-list as well as all of the documents that come with them in order to release a game. Best to get the Boilerplate ready for when I need it. So many different documents that it is best to map them out and start tackling them one by one.
Study Game Design have taught us that in order to make and release a game we need to have our house in order first and be prepared.
Created this little game project just over 2 years ago as part of my level 3 Game design course at Wakefield College, called it Zombie Mayhem. Now I am working on with Team and about to finish my FdA Independant Game Development Course at University Centre Wakefield. How time flies.
Anyone interest in the course I am on can follow Study Game Design or visit http://www.study-game-design.co.uk/

Introducing JS Games at StudyGameDesign's First Cohort event.

Here's what he says about himself.

Ever since I was young I became fascinated with the inner workings of games design, its mechanics and how it’s structured. For the last 4 years I’ve dedicated myself to joining this industry with the intention to bring my own ideas to the table. While studying I have learnt how to effectively plan and design an Independent title, whilst also being able to program within Unity using C #. It is with these tools that I can now craft my own games and give back to an industry that has given so much to me.

Introducing Daniel Learmouth at StudyGameDesign's First Cohort event.

Here's what he says about himself.

Programming is my speciality, and it's one of the parts of the process I enjoy the most. It's fairly simple when it comes down to it. I've worked in C # and JavaScript, and have been getting into C++ a little at a time. My engines of choice are Unity and Unreal. I also dabble in the odd bit of 3D work, which used to be what I was most capable of. My tools of the trade are Blender, Photoshop and Illustrator in that regard. I also like collecting games. Nothing to do with developing them; I just like collecting them.

Introducing Summit Graphics at StudyGameDesign's First Cohort event.

Here's what he says about himself.

Graphics and design have always been a huge passion. To me if something looks good, it attracts more attention. This can be in the form of a good, clean logo, to a great art style. I have a vast amount of knowledge in Photoshop, been able to use hundreds of different brushes and tools to produce the best piece of work possible. I also have skills in Unity’s 2D and User Interface capabilities. I have the ability to adapt to new styles and create artwork from written ideas using different mediums. If you need graphics I can provide!

Introducing Mad Hobo at StudyGameDesign's First Cohort event.

Here's what he says about himself.

Hey, my name is Tom and I am a game developer who has made multiple games ranging from 2D bullet hells to 3D realistic platformers. Currently I am working on Murderdome as 3D artist under Team Unicorn. I specialise in 3D, but have a good amount of experience in design, texturing, concept and programming. I have a good knowledge of Unity, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, 3dsMax, Mudbox and Blender. I feel strongest in Blender, Unity and Photoshop, but I am a very adaptive learner. Over everything I prioritise the teams goals over my own to help make a great product.

Introducing Tydes Games at StudyGameDesign's First Cohort event.

Here's what he says about himself.

“Lose your mind and come to your senses.” ― Frederick Salomon Perls (~1960s)
This is the motto I work by. I'm in the gaming industry because I want to create my own unique games and have fun while doing it. There's no need to work from a book or a guide because you're limiting your creativeness and mind. Let it explore, and if you lose your mind, come to your senses and fix it.
