Camphill Wakefield is a specialist college for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

We are also home to Cafe 1903, a dog-friendly cafe on the other side of our campus. We have free parking and a variety of hot food and drink. We provide Hands on Learning through land based and creative craft based activities in a friendly and supportive setting.

Recents from Our Enterprise Hub

Our students have been hard at work across our Enterprise Hub, gaining valuable hands on experience in a range of roles.

From making coffees and serving customers in Café 1903 to operating the tills and assisting visitors in our gift shops, students have been developing their customer service, communication and employability skills every day.

These real-life experiences help our learners build confidence, independence and practical workplace skills, preparing them for future opportunities whilst making a positive contribution to our campus community.

We're incredibly proud of the dedication and enthusiasm our students bring to the Enterprise Hub and look forward to sharing more of their achievements with you soon!

Lunch Club Signing and Dancing! 🎶💃

Every day, our Therapy team hosts Lunch Club, providing students with a fun and inclusive opportunity to socialise, build friendships and develop their communication skills.

On Wednesdays, Lunch Club gets even more energetic with singing and dancing sessions, giving everyone the chance to get moving, express themselves and have fun together.

In honour of last week's Makaton Sign of the Week "dance", we're sharing some fantastic videos of our students enjoying the singing and dancing session, as well as demonstrating the sign itself.

It's wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, confidence and joy as our students take part and support one another.

A huge well done to everyone involved, and thank you to our Therapy team for creating such engaging and enjoyable experiences for our students!

Student Social Takeover!

Our Enterprise students have been developing their social media and marketing skills, and they've done a fantastic job! From taking photographs to writing their own promotional captions, they have been working hard to showcase what our Enterprise Hub has to offer.

We're excited to share their work and look forward to seeing more creative content from our talented students in the future. 👏

Our Makaton Sign of the Week is "Dance". This was beautifully demonstrated by lots of our Camphill Wakefield staff and students this week.

With our Induction Week well and truly over, let's take a look back at how our students got on!

Faces & Places

Upon their arrival, students took part in our Faces & Places activity, designed to help them become familiar with the many faces and places across our site.

Our new students (along with some returning students) loved exploring the campus, meeting staff members, and finding their way around their new space.

We also had students and staff lending a hand in Café 1903!

They did an absolutely fantastic job, helping to keep everything running smoothly, and we're pleased to report that the coffee was delicious too!

A huge well done to all our students for an amazing Induction Week. It has been wonderful to see so many new faces settling in, building confidence, and getting involved in campus life.

We can't wait to see what you'll achieve throughout the year ahead!

Makaton Sign of the Week!

This is something we share with our staff every week and we're excited to start sharing it with our wider community too!

Each week, we'll be showcasing a different Makaton sign, helping to promote inclusive communication and raise awareness of the many ways people connect and communicate. Keep an eye out for more signs to come. 😊
