At last the sun had his hat on today!! 😎Over the next couple of weeks we are thinking about our bodies and how we keep healthy! Today we made the most of the wonderful weather and went to our local park, we played with the parachute and explored different ways of moving 'can we hop like a Frog, stride like a giant, slither like a snake' we also had a game of pass the parcel to continue celebrating our special friends birthday on Sunday 🥰🥰

I've had such an amazing day today on week 5 of Forest School training!! We made Vegetable soup, veggie Chilli with rice and some delicious orange cakes, all over an open fire 😍🔥 I have really enjoyed the journey so far! Now to get on with my portfolio!! 💗💗 Thank you Nina Garner Outdoor Education

This morning we had a party in Luna Woods for all our wonderful childminding families, to say thank you for all the support they have given in our first year. It was so wonderful to see all the children playing together and the parents/ grandparents chatting. I had a fab day on week 4 of my forest School training yesterday! We made Elder necklaces and whistles out of Hazel 😁 Glad we managed to get outside for a bit despite the weather showing us 4 seasons in a day 🤣🥰 Nina Garner Outdoor Education

We have had so much fun over the past few weeks! Celebrating Easter, learning about Ramadan and Eid, visiting farms and our local parks. During circle time we have been talking about our feelings together and looking at our daily routines 🥰 Over the next few weeks we are going to look at growth and new life. We have already started making some flower seed bombs and have planted some cress to watch grow!! Thank goodness the sun is shining finally although we have had lots of fun in the puddles 🥰 Have a lovely weekend everyone 💗

I just want to thank Leah at The Bramble Baking Co for our beautiful space themed cake this week to celebrate our first year of business!!
It looked and tasted amazing, the children loved it and have asked every day for cake at snack time🤣😋🥰 💜💜💜

Happy Monday! My photo skills don't show how pretty the playroom looks at the minute!! Last week we spent some time reflecting & thinking about the changes we needed to make to enhance the provision. The children have been playing shops recently and we talked with them about how we could make our own shop. We have taken things away we noticed were not being played with & kept the most played with resource 'magnetic tiles' 😁 A few weeks ago we introduced self registration with the children and they all really enjoy finding their photo/ name and hanging it on the mug tree,at circle time we talk about who is here how we are feeling and what our daily routine is for that day. Yesterday I completed my Designated Safeguarding Lead Training with Wakefield Early years team. This is updated every 2 years, I will be sharing any new information with my parents this week 😊

What a start to the year we have had! Over the past couple of weeks we have been looking at arctic animals and their habitats, exploring ice, mark making and exploring different materials. We have also used our new child friendly knife set to practice cutting and chopping vegetables and fruits for our meals and snacks. Over the next couple of weeks we will be taking part in the RSPB big garden bird watch and we can't wait to see how many bird we have visit us and how we can help them in our environment 🐦🐦‍⬛🥰😊
