Back in the Summer Term, our current Year 1 pupils (then Reception) entered the National Young Artists Competition. Inspired by the life of Sir David Attenborough and his famous encounter with gorillas, the children created brilliant gorilla drawings with every single one being selected for publication!

The children were over the moon last week when our copy of the official 'Nature Explorers' book arrived and they got to see their work in print.

We couldn't be prouder of our young artists! 🎨

Welcome to ! 🌲🔥

Every Friday, we’re taking you outdoors to share what’s happening in our Forest School!

This week, Year 5 and 6 pupils joined Mr Dore to master the art of safe fire-making using a fire striker. After learning essential fire safety, pupils foraged for kindling and put their spark-striking skills to the test.

A brilliant lesson in teamwork, extinguishing fire and outdoor survival.

Our Year 8/9 Touch Rugby Team made us immensely proud competing at the TrySportsuk National Schools Championships at Oxford Harlequins RFC, last week.

Having qualified as Northern Champions, just months after being introduced to the sport in PE, the team went up against the country's best. Though results didn't go our way, every match was a nail-biter decided by just a couple of tries!

Highlights from the day:

⭐ Lily T made history as our first-ever female & Touch Rugby Captain
⭐ Megan W was awarded 'Most Improved Player' after scoring 4 brilliant tries, including a hat-trick!
⭐ Will K earned 'Player of the Tournament' for his relentless work ethic.

A huge congratulations to the entire squad!
