Because sometimes the best learning happens when we stop moving for a moment. 👏

Taking a knee gives everyone the chance to pause, focus and listen before we move on to the next drill or technique. 🧠🔥

It helps students to:
👂 Listen properly
👀 Watch demonstrations carefully
🧠 Take in instructions
🥋 Show respect to instructors and teammates
💪 Reset before the next challenge

It also creates a calm moment in the middle of a busy class, helping everyone come back together and make sure they understand exactly what they’re working on. 🙌

We’ve got a full kickboxing timetable with classes for different ages and experience levels:

🥊 Mini Vipers Kickboxing — 4.30pm–5.00pm
Ages 4–7 years

🥊 Vipers Kickboxing — 5.15pm–6.00pm
Ages 7–14 years

🥊 Pro Vipers Kickboxing — 6.15pm–7.00pm
For students Green Belt and above

🥊 Adult Kickboxing — 7.15pm–8.15pm
Ages 14+

What a weekend for Viper Martial Arts Academy! 🔥

We couldn’t be prouder of our team and the way they represented Viper at the WKO British Championships. The results speak for themselves, but the determination, resilience and performances behind them are what really stand out.

🥉 NOAH

Noah came away with a fantastic 3rd place! 🥉

He was super unlucky to miss out on 2nd, but what a performance and what a result at a British Championship. A well-deserved podium finish! 👏🔥

🥈🥇 ELIZA

What an incredible event for Eliza!

She missed out on Bronze by just 0.1 — not once, but TWICE! 😱

In both Traditional Kata and Creative Kata, she was just 0.1 away from the podium, showing just how competitive she was.

But she bounced back in style:

🥈 Silver – Freestyle Forms
🥇 GOLD – Musical Forms 🏆

Now a BRITISH CHAMPION!!

An absolutely superb performance and a fantastic demonstration of resilience! 💪🔥

🥈🥈🥉 LANA

Lana had a fantastic event, stepping up into older age groups and still managing to be incredibly competitive!

She came away with:

🥈 Silver – Traditional Forms
🥈 Silver – Musical Forms
🥉 Bronze – Freestyle Forms

And she narrowly missed out on another podium in Creative Kata, finishing an excellent 4th place!

To step up in age and still produce performances like that is something to be incredibly proud of. 👏

Alec continued his incredible form by winning ALL THREE sections!

A spinning back fist is a more advanced striking technique where the student turns through the body and uses the back of the fist to strike the target. It takes good balance, timing, control, coordination and awareness to perform it correctly. 🔄👊

We love giving our students the chance to have a go at techniques they may not officially need until a higher grade. ⭐️

Why? Because it keeps training exciting, challenges their coordination and gives them a glimpse of what they’re working towards. It also helps build confidence and shows them just how much there is still to learn as they progress through their martial arts journey. 🥋💪

Of course, advanced techniques are always introduced in a safe, controlled way and with the right supervision.

Sometimes trying something a little harder is exactly what helps a student realise how capable they’re becoming! 👏🔥
