The Creative Café is a fun activity at St George’s, with the next session taking place this Friday, 12th January, 4-6pm. Families can:

Come to the centre straight from school,
Make incredible play sculptures with the Hepworth Wakefield,
Eat a delicious warm and healthy meal in our café.

Are you already thinking about the half term holidays?
Wondering how to keep the family active, while making special memories?
Well here is a planner of activities produced by Experience Wakefield that will be running.

Please find attached the timetable for an overview of our community centre’s activities and courses taking place this coming month.

With the early nights coming we’re trying our best to make sure people have something to look forward to, for example:

👶 Baby Weigh and Play returns 6th October and will run Fridays 9.30-10.30am at West Wakefield Methodist Church. It’s a great way for parents and guardians to build support networks for themselves and their little ones (up to 12months old).

🎃 Keep your eyes peeled for seasonal tricks and treats at our café! Kirsty and co are open Monday-Friday, 9am-1pm at our Broadway site with lots of delicious homecooked food.

🧶 We’re hosting a Craft Fair on 18th November 10am-2pm at our Community Centre on Broadway in Lupset. Budding crafters and local sellers can secure a stall for the introductory price of £5!

What’s happening at St George’s this July?

Highlights include: the crafty chat group, weekly smoking cessation support sessions, our under 5s end of term Teddy Bears Picnic on the 11th and another fantastic live music events for local young people on 27th. We also have a number of course dates confirmed for Autumn which are now ready to book!

Here at The Hepworth Wakefield, we are increasing our family offer to help support families during the upcoming teacher striking days (Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May).

We are facilitating a variety of creative family activities for families to participate in if the school is closed for the day. Families are welcome to stay all day, we have an indoor picnic area to eat packed lunches and all Wakefield residents and under 18s get in free.
