A huge congratulations to year 6 pupils for completing their SATs assessments last week. As teachers, it was an absolute pleasure to see them rise to the challenge. Their hard work both in school and at home certainly paid off. They demonstrated determination, perseverance and fantastic self-discipline. These are all important life skills that will carry them a long way in life. Congratulations year 6 and well done!

We had some fantastic news earlier today when we learnt that Max had been offered a place at the prestigious Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate School in North Yorkshire. Hard work pays off! Congratulations Max, enjoy your summer!

Learning multiplication tables can be tricky. There are loads of resources out there to support your child when it comes to embedding multiplication facts. The link below provides an example of a creative video that aims to help your child retain their 3 x table.

Furthermore, I cannot recommend software such as TT Rockstars or IXL enough!

We have had a fantastic morning preparing Imaan for her Year 4 Entrance Assessment at Wakefield Girls' High School. She is full of confidence and raring to go.

She has worked exceptionally hard in recent weeks refining her comprehension skills by summarising texts and discussing an author's use of personification to bring a setting description to life.

After listening to her read her favourite book, it is clear she reads with fluency and intonation! Like Imaan, we love Harry Potter too!
