🌿 Out and about in our community! 🌿

Our children have been enjoying trips to the local park and exploring what’s happening in the world around them. 🛝🍂

Being out and about gives us lots to talk about, notice and investigate -from spotting changes in the seasons and listening to the sounds around us, counting steps, noticing numbers and signs, taking turns on equipment and talking about the people and places we see.❤️

These everyday experiences are a great way to bring learning to life, following the children’s curiosity and letting them discover what’s right on our doorstep. 💛

Today we welcomed Boost Yoga. 💕

Our babies loved the calming sounds and gentle massage, creating a peaceful, relaxing and nurturing experience for them. ♥️

Our children have been getting stuck into some messy outdoor fun, using mud as their paint and exploring what they can create in our garden area! 🤎

Getting hands-on with natural materials, experimenting, creating and most importantly… having FUN! 🌱✨

Thinking outside the box, one muddy masterpiece at a time! 🤎

Our latest team meeting was all about our children, our team and continuing to grow together. 💗

We started with a sensory circuit, experiencing first-hand how movement can help with transitions, releasing energy and getting ready to calm and refocus. 💪🏽 💭

Each room also planned an activity for us to explore together. We looked at what we loved, what could be improved, how we could differentiate it for different children and the learning it links to. It was such a great opportunity to share ideas, learn from each other and take inspiration back into our rooms. 🌿

We then reflected on what’s working well, where we can improve and how we can use feedback and support to keep bettering ourselves as a nursery team— always with the children at the heart of what we do. We created our nursery goals together and got planning for our Scare Fest & Open Day!

We also took some time to celebrate our team!🥳 Georgia was our Team Member of the Month for her positive impact across the team, while Lizzie, Laura & Shelby were recognised for bringing fresh ideas and hard work since joining us. Megan for her brilliant can-do attitude and always supporting where needed, and Sam for the lovely feedback from outside agencies and our wider team about her room, leadership and ideas.Georgie for her interactions and help with anything in nursery!Also Amy & Inaya’s birthdays! 🎂

A huge thank you to our whole team for getting through such a busy September, welcoming new children and families and supporting each other so well. 💗

🍁 Autumn Tuff Tray!🍂

The children have been busy making their very own play dough before getting creative with our autumn natural treasures. 🍁

Leaves, conkers and other treasures were used to make prints, patterns and different marks in the play dough. 🌿

Our younger toddlers had a brilliant time exploring the water tray last week! 🤍

Squeezing, splashing, pouring and adding different objects gave them the freedom to think outside the box, make their own choices and discover what happened next. ✨

From developing coordination and communication to building independence and enjoying time with friends, every little one explored in their own unique way. 🌿💦

A smile, a cuddle, sitting together and getting stuck into an activity -these are the moments where those important bonds grow.✨

Having a familiar person who knows them, understands them and is there when they need reassurance helps children feel safe, settled and ready to explore.🥰

It’s these strong relationships that give children the secure foundations they need to learn, grow and enjoy their time at nursery. 🌿

🔨 Learning through doing!⚒️
Our children have been using hammers and nails to work with wooden logs, developing hand-eye coordination, strength and control as they carefully position and hammer each nail.💪🏽

It takes concentration, problem-solving and plenty of perseverance when things don’t go to plan. Rather than giving up, the children kept trying, adjusting what they were doing and finding a way that worked.⭐️

Real experiences, real tools and lots of opportunities to learn through doing. 🌿
