I get asked a lot “What actually is FND?” 🧠🤍

FND stands for Functional Neurological Disorder and before all of this, I honestly didn’t realise how much it can affect someone’s everyday life.

The easiest way I can explain it is… my brain and body don’t always communicate the way they should.

Some days I can feel more like myself, other days my body just doesn’t want to cooperate. And that’s probably one of the hardest things for people to understand — just because I could do something yesterday doesn’t mean I can do it today.

The symptoms are real. They’re not made up, they’re not “just anxiety” and they can be completely different from person to person.

I’m still learning about FND myself and learning how to navigate this new version of life, but I want to use my page to raise awareness and hopefully help other people feel a little less alone. 🤍
