🏃💨 Secondary taster PE session:

5️⃣ Year 5 were delighted to welcome a PE teacher from St Thomas à Becket’s and had a fantastic time taking part in an exciting taster PE session, full of energy, teamwork and joy

🤝 We're so grateful to the PE teacher for coming to see us; it was wonderful for the children to experience the activities and spirit of our feeder school community within the Trust

🎉 They did it… SATs are officially finished!

🥲 We are incredibly proud of every single child for the attitude they displayed throughout SATs week

🤩 We live by our 3 Rs — Respect, Responsibility and Resilience — and our pupils demonstrated all three in abundance every single day

💪 They approached each test with determination, maturity and positivity, truly rising to each challenge. A big well done from all our staff!

🎽👟 Postgate's fun in PE:

🏃 This week in Postgate, the children have had a fantastic time in PE!
Working independently, in pairs, and in groups, they took on a range of challenges that built their confidence and resilience, all while staying active and having fun!

⛪ Learning about God's house:

✝️ This week in Early Years, we’ve been learning all about God’s house – the church

👋 The children explored what they might find inside and shared thoughtful ideas about how everyone is welcome there

🧱 They then built their own churches using bricks, remembering to include a door to show that God’s house is always open

⚱️ Getting creative with clay!

4️⃣ Class Four have been exploring how to prepare clay by pressing, squeezing and rolling, and practised the ‘score and slip’ technique to join pieces securely

🪷 They then had a go at shaping their own petals—great teamwork and fantastic effort all round!

⛪🌺 Mass & May Procession:

🚶‍➡️🪧 Last week, we had a beautiful Mass and May Procession led by Fr Sean

🙏 It was a joyful and peaceful celebration of faith, and so lovely to see our St Ignatius children sharing this special moment with the parish community

🚓✨ Year 2 have been busy continuing to learn about the police force and Sir Robert Peel!

🪄 Working in pairs, the children created fantastic presentations, showcasing their knowledge and teamwork and confidently sharing their work with the class; well done everyone!

🌅⛪ Our Eastertide service:

🙏 We were blessed to share a beautiful Eastertide service led by Fr Philip; our altar servers served with reverence, and it was wonderful to see our Year 6 pupils confidently leading the bidding prayers

🤲 It was truly a special time for our community to come together and remember that the joy and hope of Easter hasn't finished just yet!

🖼️💭 Last week, we came together as a whole school to celebrate our Virtue Assembly, where each class creatively shared their chosen virtue through beautiful artwork and thoughtful reflections

🤩 The children spoke with confidence and pride, making it a joyful celebration of teamwork, faith, and living our virtues each day

👮 Visit from the Police:

🚓⭐ Last Friday, Year 2 had a very special visit from a real police detective!

🔍 The children loved learning about the important work the police do, discovering Robert Peel, exploring police equipment, and even taking their own fingerprints like real detectives

🤩 It was a fun, exciting, and memorable real-world lesson—thank you to our wonderful visitors!
