Over the last few weeks children at Little Wrens have enjoyed going camping ⛺️ . Developing their knowledge of what equipment is needed for camping and fire safety πŸ”₯. Camping as promoted lots of team working, sharing ideas, developing their social and communication skills. They have enjoyed developing their fine motor skills using scissors to make fire pictures and loved the sensory bear hunt! πŸ»β€¦ next week we are heading to the β€œseaside” to continue our camping adventure! 🍦

Saturday morning we welcomed our Dad’s to come along to a Father’s Day breakfast! Showing what we have been learning about and what we are currently learning about! … to finish the morning they helped set up the exciting camping environment ready for next week learning! .. Thank you to all our lovely Dads!! We will have some excited children in the morning!! 😍

Our topic of the term is: Minibeasts! πŸ›

This week, our book of focus has been the snail and the whale! 🐌🐳
The children have had so much fun exploring in the soil to find a snail hitched a lift on the whale's tail! πŸ‹

The children showed off their arts and design skills when doing some observational drawings of different flowers and they got creative with the junk modelling to make a bug hotel!

The children had so much fun learning about fairytales! πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈβœ¨οΈ

Our new topic of the term is: Minibeasts! πŸ›

Over the last few weeks, the children have been wriggly with Superworm! πŸͺ± They used their problem solving skills to make worms of different lengths and they made sure the very hungry caterpillar had a nice full tummy whilst comparing the difference in the healthy and unhealthy foods that he ate! πŸ˜‹

This past week, our book of focus has been what the ladybird heard 🐞 the children listened to the different sounds they could hear in the garden πŸ‘‚and went exploring to find their own ladybirds!

Next week, we look forward to playing with the snail and the whale! 🐌🐳

This week the children have enjoyed running after the gingerbread man! We have role played in the reading corner with the story spoons, learnt a new song 🎡 and finished the week off with our very own yummy gingerbread men! πŸ˜‹
Next week, we look forward to learning all about pinocchio!

Over the last few weeks, the children have enjoyed learning all about, The 3 little pigs, Goldilocks and The 3 bears and The 3 Billy goats gruff! We worked together to make houses strong enough to keep out the big bad wolf 🐺, tried some of the 3 bears yummy porridge at snack time πŸ˜‹ and learnt a new song about the troll under the bridge!
This week, we look forward to learning all about little red riding hood!
