🧻 Making handkerchiefs in Year 4:

🔎 Our Year 4 pupils put their scientific thinking to the test by exploring which materials make the best handkerchiefs

📄🌫️ They investigated cotton wool, greaseproof paper, writing paper, paper towels, and crepe paper — discovering that cotton wool and paper towels were the most absorbent!

😇 Last month, our Year 6 pupils approached their SATs with calm, courage, and determination

🥣 Starting each day together at Breakfast Club, they supported one another and gave their very best

🐑⛪ Good Shepherd Mass:

🙏 Our Mini Vinnies truly lived out their faith at the Good Shepherd Mass!

📜 With joy and generosity, they presented Bishop Marcus with a certificate celebrating the funds they raised for the Good Shepherd Appeal through a colouring competition and raffle

✝️ Our first May Devotion liturgy was a beautiful celebration of faith

📿 Guided by the theme “Mary, our Mother, leads us to Jesus,” the children took part in the Rosary, joyful processions, and the crowning of Mary

🌲🏫 Elite Forest School Festival:

🏕️ A group of Key Stage 2 pupils, alongside children from other schools, attended the Elite Forest School Festival. They enjoyed a fantastic day immersed in a variety of outdoor activities, including relaxing in hammocks, building dens, taking part in archery, and learning how to light fires safely

🍃 The experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all, with pupils embracing the opportunity to develop new skills while connecting with nature

✖️➗🐞 Exploring doubles with creative ladybird maths in Recption:

🔢 They added matching spots to each side, bringing doubling to life through hands-on learning while building counting and number skills

🍚🤏 Using tweezers and rice, they carefully picked up hidden worms; building coordination, focus and perseverance through exciting hands-on play

🖍️🪞 The children carefully created one side, then printed the other to make it match—bringing symmetry to life!

🧮 Using colourful beads, the children created different combinations while building confidence in counting, addition and fine motor skills
