S P R I N G H A S S P R U N G - 🌼

The preschool children have been taking full advantage of the sun this afternoon! ☀️

They have been busy digging, refreshing the soil & planting flowers in the tyres on the driveway, ready for the warmer months! 🌷

They even managed to find some mini beasts whilst they were digging! 🪱

It’s that time of year again when mini eggs are lining the supermarket shelves. But, did you know that, just like grapes, they are the perfect size to block a small child’s airway and choke them? And, their hard shell can make it difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

With whole grapes we advise cutting them in half lengthways and ideally into quarters to create thin strips. But chopping up mini eggs isn’t as easy. So, what can you do?

1. Hide them from the children and eat them yourself – good luck with that!

2. Put the mini eggs into a sealable plastic bag and smash them into small pieces with a rolling pin. Or, crush them in a pestle and mortar.

3. Opt for a different treat. Larger, hollow eggs are much safer for little ones.

We’ve had a flippin’ great morning at Rainbows this morning celebrating pancake day!
The children have been exploring the mix, flipping their pancakes, picking their own toppings & getting stuck in!

THAT'S A WRAP!

The word proud just doesn't cut it for how these little ones have performed this week! 3 nativities this year & every single one has been amazing!

The amount of prep that goes into getting this event to run smoothly, the daily reversals that begin in October, the costume prep & everything else that happens behind the scenes & they all just take it in their stride! It can be quite overwhelming walking into a room full of parents but blimey - they have absolutely smashed it!

A special shout out to our Mary & Joseph, who have turned up to all 3 performances & sang their little hearts out! You guys were fab!

I'm sure you will all join me in thanking the staff for all of their hard work throughout this very busy period!

Lastly, thank you to all of our families for their continued support throughout the year! We couldn't do any of this without you guys. We really are lucky to have such a supportive team/family here at Rainbows!
