A small, friendly, Ofsted registered Nursery near Verwood, which has been running for over 10 years, offering The Forest School experience for ages 2 yrs upwards (funding available for ages 3 & 4 yrs). At The Elves and Fairies Woodland Nursey finding time to experience nature is of high priority. We believe that the closer to nature the children are, the happier they will be and the more they will learn. Free to explore nature's riches, a child's senses are heightened, which enhance their creative and imaginative play. Our focus is on 'the whole child' and helping them develop at their own pace and in their own way, whilst progressing towards the Early Years Foundation Stage goals.

We also welcome children who are 2.6 months of age and of working parents during our holiday provision if they are confident with toileting and they are already enrolled in our Woodland Nursery.

Elves and Fairies Woodland Nursery and Forest School

Join us from Monday 20th April for a gentle, nurturing Parent & Child Group in our beautiful nursery and forest school setting.

👶 Ages: 6 months – 2 years - £6 per child (half price for sibling 12months +)
🕙 Time: Mondays, 10:00am – 12:00pm
⏳ Duration: 2 hours

This relaxed morning offers parents and young children the chance to:
Explore our natural indoor and outdoor spaces
Enjoy free play, songs, stories, and sensory experiences
Connect with other families
Support early development through play and movement

🥕🍎 A healthy morning snack is provided for the children.

Parents remain with their child throughout the session, making this a lovely first step into nursery life in a calm, supportive environment.

🌿 We’re Hiring! Forest School Nursery Staff Wanted 🌿

The Elves and Fairies Woodland Nursery is looking for Full Time, Part Time and Relief staff to join our friendly Forest School team.

Set in beautiful woodland in Edmondsham (between Cranborne & Verwood) and West Moors, our largely outdoor nurseries offer children a rich, nature-based early childhood experience. We deliver the EYFS through play, imagination and everyday woodland life – from campfire cooking and gardening to muddy play, storytelling, crafts and woodland walks.

✨ What we’re looking for:
• Energetic, cheerful people who love being outdoors in all weathers
• Level 3 EYFS qualified practitioners (Forest School qualification preferred or willingness to train)
• Confidence in leading the EYFS
• Relief staff welcome (holiday & sickness cover)

🌱 Our settings include:
• Under 2s group
• Forest School groups for ages 2–6
• Term-time kindergarten (Mon–Thurs)
• Toddler group & Home Ed Forest School
• Holiday Forest School for ages 3–11
