The Calendar Project have created 2026/27 wall planners including term dates and inset days for our school for the coming year: www.peoplespress.co.uk/vfsn-shop

All orders and payments are dealt with by The Calendar Project, but the profits will be donated to the Friends of Verwood First School and Nursery towards our fundraising for the school.

Orders will close on 15th September and wall planners are expected to be delivered to the school and distributed by 25th September.

We create poster-sized calendars with stickers for children & families — customised with your term dates & school events for you to sell in aid of your school.

A big welcome back to all our families, and an even bigger welcome to our new families who will be starting next week!

Our first pre-loved uniform sale of the year will be taking place on Monday from 2.30 in the playground. Thanks to the kind donations we’ve had over the summer we’ve got lots of clothes in stock! Come and take a look - we’ve got so much that we haven’t got a list of what’s available at the moment!

If you can’t make it on Monday don’t worry - we’ll be planning more sales during the term when we have volunteers available.

Only a week to go before the end of term and our Ash Base children have received leavers' autograph books as special gifts from the Friends of Verwood First School and Nursery.

As they prepare to leave us, we want to say how incredibly proud we are of each and every one of our leavers. It's been a privilege to watch them grow, learn, and flourish during their time with us. We hope their autograph book becomes a treasured keepsake, filled with happy memories and kind messages from friends and staff.

We wish all of our Ash Base children every success and happiness as they begin the next exciting chapter of their journey. They will always be a valued part of the Verwood First School family.

We've finished counting and the total is in...

Another huge thank you to everyone involved in the Summer Sizzler last week. We raised an incredible £4,548!

The money raised will make such a difference to our educational enrichment activities and improvements to the outside play facilities.

An enormous thank you to everyone involved in making our Summer Sizzler a success on Friday! It was a brilliant event and we've had lots of lovely feedback from those who came along!

We're so grateful to our Friends of Verwood First School & Nursery team for their huge effort behind the scenes. A small but mighty team! We couldn't have done it without our amazing community who gave their time to volunteer on stalls, donated prizes, lent equipment and provided sponsorship. Thank you all!

And finally, a big thank you to all our families and friends who came along and had the best time!

We are still counting! Watch this space for the final amount raised!

🌞 TODAY'S THE DAY! IT'S THE SUMMER SIZZLER! 🌞

The sun is shining and we can't wait to see everyone at the Sizzler today! We’ll have lots of favourite games and some new ones too!

Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the Sizzler until 6.45, with the draw taking place at 7pm. Visit our raffle and tokens stall to purchase if you haven't already!

The Sports Prize Draws featuring a printed signed photo of the England Men's Test Squad, India Test Series 2025 donated by the England and Wales Cricket Board, a signed Bruno Fernandes photo donated by the Manchester United Foundation, and a signed and framed Evanilson AFC Bournemouth shirt will take place just before the raffle draw - look out for the Washing Line lucky dip and Sports Prize Draw stall to get your tickets!
