On Thursday we had a Trash Challenge, to learn what we could recycle and upcycle and how different things decay - or don't!

We had an interactive quiz, looked at our bread mold experiment and got creative making games, fashion and instruments from old materials.

The sky is... this week we explored the colour or weather and colours of Autumn with our special guest artist, the amazing Mark Cosby

We explored how light travels through the sky, the different spectrums of blue and put our artistic talents to work outdoors on a large canvas. It was hands on, colourful fun!

This Thursday we learnt about the weird world of GERMS! We spread fake germs in the dark to see how far they travelled using a UV torch!

We made our own virus out of clay, learnt about protein spikes and did a few games and science experiments - one with bread to see how mold grows. We'll be checking back this week to see how dirty our hands really were!! 😬😆

So lovely to see everyone back at Grow & Learn yesterday!

We made the most of the Autumn sunshine and explored the botanic gardens for animal habitats, using them for inspiration to create our own animals out of clay, balloons and papier mache.

We can't wait to return at Grow & Learn for a new term on Thurs 10th September with myself, Holly and Lucia.

We had a great wellbeing session with a couple of the super talented parents earlier this month. We learnt about Homeopathy and exercises to keep our body fit and healthy!

Ages 10 - 14 12.30pm - 1.15pm

movement in nature, in the elements, in our bodies, in colour...everything is connected and we had the best experience with Alice Humphreys and her rewilding movement workshop under the shade of the big trees at the garden! in this heat, it was definitely the best place to be!

the tide was on our side and the moody weather called for ghost ships hunting, so we headed to the beach on Thursday and we found...lots of wildlife to discover record, and craft with! beach safety was also on the agenda of course, together with the pirates and a few marine treats!
