Uniform Reminder
๐ School Uniform & PE Kit Reminder
As we prepare for the new school year, just a quick reminder to check that students have the correct school uniform and PE kit ready for September.
Please make sure you check the full requirements before purchasing anything.
๐ Full details of our school uniform and PE kit requirements can be found on the school website: https://www.thomasalleynes.uk/page/?title=School+Uniform&pid=36
Thank you for your support in helping students start the new academic year looking smart, feeling prepared and ready to learn. We look forward to welcoming everyone back! ๐
School Uniform
By creating a common identity amongst all our pupils, regardless of background, school uniform can act as a social leveller. It can reduce bullying and peer pressure to wear the latest fashions or other expensive clothes.

Meet the Governors! ๐
Hi, I am Mrs Davies - Governor with the link to Careers
I am an experienced education professional with over 20 years in teaching and leadership roles across a range of settings. My work has consistently focused on improving teaching and learning, with a strong specialism in post-16 education. I am passionate about supporting learners to achieve their potential and developing high-quality educational experiences.
I enjoy long-distance running and fitness, having trained for events such as the London Marathon. I also have a strong interest in youth development through involvement with the Duke of Edinburghโs Award programme. I also enjoy travelling with my three children and exploring new places together๐ฅพ
The question you may ask is why am I a governor? TAHS is school I attended and now the school my own children will all eventually attend. I am passionate about giving back to the school and ensuring it continues to serve our local community well and provide the best possible outcomes for its pupils.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is urging parents to discuss the dangers of outdoor swimming and deliberately starting fires, for the school holidays ๐ฅ๐ง
Parents are asked to speak to their children about the potential dangers of swimming in open water and check they know what to do should they get into difficulty. The advice comes following numerous drownings nationally already this year.
โช๏ธSwimming in canals, rivers and lakes can be dangerous due to hidden currents and unknown hazards, swimming in supervised pools is much safer.
โช๏ธIf you get into trouble always float on your back and call for help.
โช๏ธIf you see someone struggling in the water donโt attempt to rescue them yourself. Call 999.
Warm weather also increases the risk of outdoor fires. It is important that young people understand the devastating consequences of deliberately setting fires.
These fires:
โช๏ธPut lives in danger.
โช๏ธCould result in your child getting a criminal record, if found responsible.
โช๏ธPut a strain on firefighters, who are often needed elsewhere.
โช๏ธRuin the local area, killing wildlife and plants.
If your child has a mobile phone get them to download the What3Words app, which can be used to report a precise location in an emergency. There is more information here: https://what3words.com/products/what3words-app
